This paper analyzes the microwave network design which uses the back-to-back passive repeaters with the existence of interference. The microwave network design is simulated on Pathloss 5.0 software. The simulated availability results were compared to the ITU-T G.821 standard, and it shows that the simulated availability result which was produced from the interference affected, back-to-back repeater design, indicates that the availability was not reached the standard, while the other design that uses the back-to-back repeaters which were not affected by interference obtained 99.97403% availability. Although the latter design resulting in a higher availability value compared to the standard, 99.9600%, it is still not fulfilling the path availability standard, which is 99.9800%. The availability result shows that it has fulfilled the ideal condition since the value is above 99,9% and the outage time value is 0,1%. However, the availability result of the budget calculation link of using the back-to-back repeaters network design is 99.98663%, which indicates that the availability value fulfilled the ITU-T G.821 standard.  Index Terms-Microwave, Passive Repeater, Pathloss 5.0, Interference, ITU

Indoor wireless systems poses one of the biggest design challenges although it is the most flexible and easily deployable method of implementing Local Area Networks. This difficulty in predicting the propagation of radio frequency wave in indoor environments is caused by reflection, refraction, diffraction and scattering of signals due to closed proximities to furniture, walls, human beings, and reflectors like ceiling, mirrors and glasses. To help improve the user experience and guarantee good quality of service in indoor situations, the research investigated the throughput and attenuation effect on signal with respect to 4, 5, 6 and 9 inches sizes of blocks walls respectively. The characterized Path-loss exponent was 1.999 and differed from the free space model, Wall and Floor Factor model and ITU model by 53.54dB, 6.42dB and 6.85dB respectively.

Kualitas layanan komunikasi yang berkecepatan tinggi saat ini menjadi kebutuhan bagi pengguna layanan LTE (Long Term Evolution), sehingga terjadi kebutuhan kapasitas trafik yang tinggi. Jombang Rawa merupakan salah satu daerah yang memiliki kapasitas trafik yang tinggi. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, operator X menggelar project jaringan seluler yang bernama roll out project yang bertujuan untuk menyediakan kapasitas yang cukup bagi pelanggan operator X. Pada project tersebut dilakukan perencanaan kapasitas jaringan transport menggunakan backhaul microwave yang bertujuan untuk mendukung layanan site baru LTE sehingga tidak terjadi kekurangan bandwidth microwave. Metode yang digunakan adalah perhitungan link budget pada jalur site baru menggunakan Pathloss 5.0 dan metode overbooking calculation untuk perhitungan kapasitas trafik setelah adanya penambahan jalur site baru pada jalur eksisting. Pada perhitungan kapasitas trafik terdapat perbandingan kapasitas trafik yang melalui jalur eksisting pada kondisi sebelum adanya penambahan site baru dengan kapasitas trafik yang melalui jaringan eksisting pada kondisi setelah ditambahkan trafik pada jalur site baru. Dengan adanya perhitungan kapasitas jaringan transport microwaveI, diharapkan jaringan microwave daerah Jombang Rawa menjadi optimal untuk mendukung site baru pada roll out project dan tidak ada masalah kekurangan bandwidth microwave ke depannya. ABSTRACT The high quality of high-speed communications services present is a requirement for LTE (Long Term Evolution) users, so need for high traffic capacity. Jombang Rawa is one area that has a high traffic capacity. To overcome this problem, X operator create mobile network project called roll out project that aims to provide sufficient capacity for X operator customers. In the project, the capacity of the transport network using microwave backhaul is aimed to support the new LTE site so it does not happen lack of microwave bandwidth. The method used is link budget calculation on the new site path using Pathloss 5.0 and overbooking calculation method for traffic capacity calculation after the addition of new site path on the existing path. In the calculation of traffic capacity there is a comparison of traffic capacity through the existing path on the condition before the addition of new site with traffic capacity through existing network on condition after added traffic on new site path. With the calculation of microwave transport network capacity, it is expected that microwave network Jombang Rawa area be optimal to support new site on roll out project and there is no problem of lack of microwave bandwidth in the future.
