LECTURE METHOD AND GUIDED DISCOVERY ITS INFLUENCE AND EFFECTS ON STUDENT'S PERFORMANCE IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS

This paper aims at presenting the findings of an action research project carried out to collect data relating to the role of formal grammar teaching in the EFL classroom. In this study on learning the semantics of five modals, the chief objectives were to ascertain whether the learners preferred, when given the choice, a explicitly given instruction or a deductive approach, and which of the two practices helped L2 acquisition better with an economy of materials, e.g. in accelerating it, in raising awareness, and in increasing accuracy, thus providing potentially useful information for teachers and materials writers.

This study was designed to find the comparative effects of scientific attitude toward Physic of
females’ students of Grade 9 teaching Physics through inquiry teaching method and
traditional lecture method teaching. The objectives of the study was (a ) to compare the
scientific attitude toward physics Grade 9 of female students teaching Physics through
inquiry teaching method (ITM) and traditional teaching lecture method (TTLM).one hundred
and twenty (120) sciences females students of grade 9, from two schools served as sample of
the study. Students of each school were divided into two equivalent groups’ i.e control and
experimental group on the basis of pre scientific attitude toward Physics test. Experimental
groups were taught through inquiry method and control group by traditional lecture method
for twenty two weeks. Post scientific attitude test were administered after treatment to assess
the difference in scientific attitudes toward Physics of groups. The data obtained were
tabulated and analyzed to compute Mean, Standard deviation and t-value at level 0.05
through SPSS 16.0 software. The post scientific attitude to Physics test shows that
experimental group was significantly better than the control group.

We face two challenges in developing integrated entrepreneurship framework: A weak philosophical underpinning and a lack of common denominator to unite one-sided views into a balanced framework. The remedy for the former is "mixed entities," while for the latter it is "constraints." Every entrepreneurship project, every entrepreneur and every en-trepreneurial opportunity is a mixed entity, containing subjectivity and objectivity components. More importantly, ontology of all entities is changeable rather than predetermined by origin. Natural and social sciences differ by rudimentary facts or structures related to origin but share most others. Constraints are intolerable limitations against entrepreneurs' insatiable desires for positive changes, and are a shadow by the side of entrepreneurship. The constraint based conceptual framework redefines entrepreneurship as continuous efforts to reduce/remove existing constraints, entrepreneurs as the leaders in lifting constraints , and entrepreneurial opportunities as constraint-lifting possibilities. We compare constraints with opportunities, how mixed entities affect philosophy of sciences, especially the comparison between natural and social sciences. Both conceptual and measurement models for ontology of entrepreneurship are offered in the end.
