SOME THOUGHTS ON KİLİSEKAYA MONASTERY AND İTULUMAZ MOUNTAIN

In this study, in short it is aimed to construe,  the region's geographical, physical and historical structures, as well as the mass of rock formed a natural structure of the architecture and religious symbols of Kilisekaya Monastery. Monastery, which we study on as a subject,propounds ; poverty, loneliness and suffering in the world by people living in detached chapel built by human hands, as well as natural rock cavities, including bedding and living cells is of a simple architecture.In addition, with two different symbols for religion provides us with a surprising direction.Monastery, which we study on as a subject, is first introduced. For this reason,we already  refuge in the forgiveness  of readers  for errors or omissions in both the dating and interpretation can be seen.

The period between 1845 and 1950 is generally evaluated as a moment of global change. Specifically, the first two decades of Twentieth Century revealed the decay of imperialism and the spreading of a common sense of belonging throughout the colonies.
In this sense, phenomena like the Libyan War, the Balkans War, and the First World War were strictly interrelated, and showed the growth of the Islamic solidarity against Western colonialism. This awareness, exploiting instruments as the press and the telegraph, extended from East to West, getting involved economic, and cultural networks, as well as individuals.
The aim of this article is to analyse the Islamic solidarity, which bloomed during the Libyan War (1911-1912), in order to demonstrate how it has been declined in space, and time. It focuses on the use of material instruments, and on the involvement of political personalities: the figure of ‘Abd al Raḥman ‘Azzām is an example of solidarity’s outliving until the Seventies.

The Islamic Awakening in Malaysia has brought about the consciousness of adopting and practicing the Islamic way of life. The process of implementing the principles of Islam is based on a gradual evolutionary process, rather than a drastic approach. Therefore, the selective implementation of Islamic law has been carried out relatively smoothly. For that reason, various institutions have been established ‒ such as, Islamic universities, Islamic banking and insurance companies, and other Islamic organizations and institutions. The case studies in this article related to Malaysia are: The Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS), Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia – ABIM (Malaysian Islamic Youth Movement), and some Islamic institutions, which play important roles in the Islamic Awakening and solidarity in Malaysia. The PAS and ABIM are the prominent Islamic parties and movements, respectively, which can be regarded as the driving force behind the Islamic Awakening in Malaysia. Based on a tri-dimensional perspective ‒ that is, socioeconomic well-being and the strength of the expansion of Islamic education, and political stability ‒ this study highlights the accomplishment of Islamic Awakening in Malaysia.

This study investigates the role of Islamic solidarity in the conceptions, motivations, and practices of Turkish HNGOs. While Islamic solidarity plays an important role in the conceptions, motivations and practices of these HNGOs, it is, at times, limited by their strong sense of affiliation with Turkey and Turkish patriotism. In this sense, Islamic solidarity can be downplayed when there is a stronger sense of national affiliation. Furthermore, the sustainability of these HNGOs, and therefore the extent to which they are able to extend Islamic solidarity, is dependent upon the convergence of their ideas and interests with Turkey's current government. In a similar vein, it remains under question whether these HNGOs would feel the same level of patriotism under a different government. As such, the support they enjoy from the government and the affiliation they feel with Turkey feed into one another. Moreover, Islamic solidarity offered by Turkish HNGOs could be challenged by their overreliance on the precarious space provided for them by the current Turkish government.
