This paper is a review article of : Fr. Déroche, La transmission écrite du Coran dans les débuts del’islam. Le codex Parisino-petropolitanus, and of David Powers, Muḥammad is not the father of any of your men. The making of the last Prophet. It deals with several aspects of the history of the Koranic text, especially with changes in this text, according to theological issues concerning kalāla, Zayd b. al-Ḥāritha , and the original meaning of ḫātam al-nabiyyīn, etc.
