The thrust of early drug discovery in recent years has been toward the configuration of homogeneous miniaturized assays.
This has allowed organizations to contain costs in the face of exponential increases in the number of screening assays
that need to be run to remain competitive. Miniaturization brings with it an increasing dependence on instrumentation,
which over the past several years has seen the development of nanodispensing capability and sophisticated
detection strategies. To maintain confidence in the data generated from miniaturized assays, it is critical to ensure that
both compounds and reagents have been delivered as expected to the target wells. The authors have developed a standard
operating procedure for liquid-handling quality control that has enabled them to evaluate performance on 2 levels. The
first level provides for routine daily testing on existing instrumentation, and the second allows for more rigorous testing
of new dispensing technologies. The procedure has shown itself to be useful in identifying both method programming
and instrumentation performance shortcomings and has provided a means to harmonizing instrumentation usage by assay
development and screening groups. The goal is that this type of procedure be used for facilitating the exchange of liquid
handler performance data across the industry.

Teknologi seluler 5G semakin dekat dan banyak negara saat ini dalam tahap persiapan bahkan beberapa telah melakukan ujicoba teknologi 5G tersebut. Indonesia merupakan salah satunya yang saat ini sedang melakukan persiapan-persiapan untuk menunjang implementasi teknologi 5G termasuk persiapan dari regulasi, infrastruktur penunjang seperti fiber optic dan lainnya. Kehadiran teknologi 5G juga diprediksi akan jadi pendorong percepatan revolusi industry 4.0 di Indonesia. Namun pada penerapannya nanti, teknologi mobile broadband 5G di Indonesia masih akan dihadapkan dengan beberapa tantangan antara lain keterbatasan spectrum, infrastruktur penunjang utama yaitu fibre optic dan ekosistem penunjang lainnya di Indonesia. Masih terbatasnya pra sarana fibre optic yang belum menyeluruh di Indonesia akan menjadi hambatan 5G untuk menjangkau seluruh bagian Indonesia yang memiliki geografis sebagai negara kepulauan. Teknologi komunikasi satelit masih tetap jadi andalan di Indonesia untuk pemeratan akses data dan telekomunikasi terutama untuk daerah rural. Untuk itu dalam jurnal ini akan menganalisa posisi komersial dari layanan broadband berbasis satelit yang menggunakan Vsat HTS Ka-band terhadap rencana implementasi mobile broadband 5G di Indonesia. Analaisa ini menggunakan pendekatan analisa SWOT Matrix. Berdasarkan analisa SWOT yang dilakukan, didapat bahwa layanan broadband Vsat HTS Ka-band masih memiliki posisi komersial dan memiliki peranan yang cukup penting apabila nanti teknologi 5G mulai di implementasi di Indonesia. Karena teknologi telekomunikasi satelit akan selalu tetap dibutuhkan terutama untuk negara kepulauan seperti Indonesia.

James 2:1-13 takes the form of a rhetorical "elaboration on a theme" described in Ps-Cicero's Rhetorica ad Herennium 2.18.28, and is directed not merely at the abstract issue of partiality or the issue of rich versus poor, but at the practice of patronage and its attendant effects on social interaction. James attacks the practice of patronage and reliance on the stereotypes of patronage as demeaning pseudo-friendship as well as the client, and contrasts this with true friendship from God.

The body plays an important role in the book of Job – as do animals. According to psychoanalytical specifically object-relations theory, a subjective body image was partly constructed through the internalisation of external stimuli from significant others who mirrored the subject through their feedback or through their own bodies, which served as an ideal or critique to the subject. Amongst the external stimuli, animals constitute such significant others. Animals could therefore have impacted Job’s subjective body image, particularly as their bodies were described in detail by God as a response to Job’s complaints and searching.Contribution: Two theoretical and interrelated problems were acknowledged although they cannot be satisfactorily solved: the cultural aspect of the body image and the relationship to animals.

The Hebrew Bible mentions 12 precious stones arranged in four rows of three each on the high priest’s breastpiece in two lists (Ex 28:17–20 and 39:10–13). Nine of these precious stones reappear in the Tyrian king’s ‘covering’ in Ezekiel 28:13 in three groups of three. Although the two lists in Exodus are identical, the order in Ezekiel is slightly different. In Septuagint (LXX) Ezekiel there are 12 precious stones. However, the number and order in the LXX lists (LXX-Ex 28:17–20 and 36:17–20; LXX-Ezk 28:13) are constant in all three cases. Background: HIV prevention programs across the world have considered drivers of articulated vehicles, especially those travelling long distances, as an important bridge population for the transmission of HIV to the general population and are thus a major target for HIV reduction programming. This paper therefore presents achievements of HIV prevention programme among transport workers in Bayelsa State, Nigeria including its implications for future programming. Methods: A total of three civil society organizations were engaged by Bayelsa State Agency for the Control of AIDS and funded to provide HIV prevention programmes under the HIV/AIDS fund (HAF) II project. To forestall what promised to be a truly terrible massacre by the Syrian regime and Russian airpower last month, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan cut a deal.

The “Memorandum of Stabilization of the Situation in the Idlib De-escalation Area,” as it is called, was signed  with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sept. 17, and had several provisions, including a wide buffer zone around the city of Idlib. But the heart of it was a promise by Erdogan to withdraw “all radical terrorist groups” holed up there, including some 10,000 in a group formerly associated with al Qaeda that now uses the name Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, or HTS.

In this paper, two proposed structures of the compact Branch-Line Couplers BLCs are designed and
simulated. Three different technologies of miniaturization BLC are used together, open ended stubs,
meandering transmission lines, and stepped impedance. The results of the two designed BLC are compared
to previously published results work at the same frequency 1.8GHz, the two proposed structures are
designed and simulated using CST full wave simulator. The first and second structures are occupied only
61.8% and 50.8%, respectively, from the area of the conventional design. The paper presents a
comparative study between simulated results of the two proposed designs and the measured results, the
results show good agreement especially in the stepped impedance BLC.

Abstract. This study investigates the impact of phonetization and phonetic segmentation of training corpora on the quality of HMM-based TTS synthesis. HMM-TTS requires phonetic symbols aligned to the speech cor- pus in order to train the models used for synthesis. Phonetic annotation is a complex task, since pronunciation usually differs from spelling, as well as differing among regional accents. In this paper, the infrastructure of a French TTS system is presented. A corpus whose phonetic label occurrences were systematically modified (number of schwas and liaisons) and label boundaries were displaced, was used to train several systems, one for each condition. A perceptual evaluation of the influence of labeling accuracy on synthetic speech quality was conducted. Despite the degree of annotation changes, the synthetic speech quality of the five best systems remained close to that of the reference system, built upon the corpus whose labels were manually corrected.

The interpretation of the book of Exodus is used as an  example of the different ways in which archaeological discoveries influenced the course of biblical exegesis.   Special emphasis will be placed on matters such as the Amarna letters and the Habiru, Merneptah Stele and the  date of the Exodus and the Egyptian background of the Exodus. In conclusion it will be argued that critical dialogue and mutual respect must exist between archaeology and biblical studies. The theological interpretation of biblical texts is inevitably an interdisciplinary endeavor and archaeology is an academic discipline that must be part of the critical dialogue with biblical exegesis.

Background: Despite increasing availability HIV counseling and testing (HCT) services in Nigeria, uptake among women of reproductive age has remained significantly low. Although, women are at greater risk of HIV infection many of them do not access HCT services. This intervention therefore designed to promote HIV prevention among women of reproductive age in Kogi State, Nigeria. Hence, this paper presents the achievements and implication of this programme. Methods: The project was a two-year intervention project carried out from 2013 to 2015 by five civil society organizations. A total of 30,520 women of reproductive age within the ages of 15 and 49 years were reached in 10 out of 21 local government areas. The minimum prevention package intervention (MPPI) was used for the implementation of project activities. Data were documented using various monitoring and evaluation tools. This was entered into DHIS2 while analysis was carried out using Microsoft Excel. Data were presented using tables and charts. Results: The total number of community dialogues/advocacy held was 116 during this intervention and 2354 influencers participated. The only income generation activity during this project was held in 2014 and 80 people benefitted. Out of the 64651 pieces of condoms distributed, 71.0% was distributed in 2015. A total of 97708 peers were registered and only 10770 (35.3%) were reached with all the three stages of MPPI and 12892 (42.2%) were reached with HCT. Among these, 568 (4.4%) were tested positive to HIV. Conclusion: Many were reached with HIV minimum package prevention intervention however uptake of HIV counselling and testing services remains low. Understanding the hindrances affecting this is important in evolving appropriate and innovative approaches of reaching a significant proportion of them with the services.

The nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+)-dependent protein deacetylase SIRT1 has been linked to fatty acid metabolism via suppression of peroxysome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPAR-γ) and to inflammatory processes by deacetylating the transcription factor NF-κB. First, modulation of SIRT1 activity affects lipid accumulation in adipocytes, which has an impact on the etiology of a variety of human metabolic diseases such as obesity and insulin-resistant diabetes. Second, activation of SIRT1 suppresses inflammation via regulation of cytokine expression. Using high-throughput screening, the authors identified compounds with SIRT1 activating and inhibiting potential. The biological activity of these SIRT1-modulating compounds was confirmed in cell-based assays using mouse adipocytes, as well as human THP-1 monocytes. Abstract. Taking into consideration the development and integration of electrical machines with lower dimensions and higher performance, this paper presents the design and development of a three-phase axial flux disc motor, with 50 Hz frequency supply. It is made with two conventional semi-stators and a rotor, which can be implemented with a conventional aluminum disc or a high temperature-superconducting disc. The analysis of the motor characteristics is done with a 2D commercial finite elements package, being the modeling performed as a linear motor. The obtained results allow concluding that the superconductor motor provides a higher force than the conventional one. The conventional disc motor presents an asynchronous behavior, like a conventional induction motor, while the superconductor motor presents both synchronous and asynchronous behaviors.

The theme of the Trinity, as a central Christian doctrine, is brought into conversation with the so-called ‘translatability thesis’ regarding Christian history, which has been particularly expounded upon by Lamin Sanneh and Andrew Walls. Does the translatability of the gospel also imply the translatability of the Trinity, or is the equation not that straightforward? In answering this question, specific reference is made to early church formulation and controversy surrounding the theme, as well as attention to specific attempts at translation or interpretation in the modern and contemporary forms of Christianity. The article acknowledges the problematic nature of Trinitarian translatability and concludes that such translatability is nonetheless possible as long as a static conception of Trinitarian doctrine could be avoided.

This article reviews the gendered Pentecostal Bible as documented by various researchers. It assesses how the prophetic-spirit framework encounters and functions within the framework of the inerrant but patriarchal written word. The Spirit framework is an oral canon that opens spaces of gender empowerment. Yet Pentecostal scholars problematise the supposedly liberating Spirit, highlighting that it sometimes denies the materiality of human existence and inhabits the constraining parameters of patriarchal church structures. The article suggests that in addition to the Spirit-Word framework, new Pentecostal theological categories, such as healing and deliverance and the prosperity gospel need to be investigated for the new spaces they open for gender justice. 'The authority of the Bible as the word of God, and the experience of the Holy Spirit form two of the most important sources of Pentecostal theology' (Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu 2004:390).

This study contributes to the understanding of communication in antiquity by analysing a few specific references to oral and literate traditions in Hellenistic and Christian texts. In the Graeco-Roman world we find a surprising widespread reticence towards writing, varying from mere indifference to active scepticism. The scribal culture of antiquity exhibits a strong bias towards orality, with even literates expressing little confidence in writing. There was a prevailing preference for the ‘living voice’ in education, and a strong belief that corpora of teaching which were never written down, and could not be written down, distinguished the insiders from the outsiders.

The idea for this article was developed in ecumenical discussion regarding the worrisome developments in some neo-Pentecostal ministries where stories of snake-eating, petrol-drinking, false prophecies and so on were being alleged. A burning question during the discussion was: what is it with the hermeneutic of experience that makes it possible for such stories to arise? Furthermore, how can this situation be remedied? Symbiodiniaceae community structure in corals is crucial for understanding the plasticity of different holobionts under environmental stress. While this relies on molecular analyses, accuracy of molecular quantification, as influenced by DNA extraction efficiency and rDNA copy number variations in particular, has rarely been systematically investigated. Here, we report the development of a set of genus-specific qPCR assays. First, a protocol for efficient DNA isolation and accurate measurements of genome size and rDNA copy number was established. Second, seven newly designed genus-specific ITS2 primer sets were validated using computational and empirical analyses and qPCR assays were developed. We find that while the genome size ranges between 1.75 ± 0.21 and 4.5 ± 0.96 Gbp, rDNA copy number shows over tenfold variation among Symbiodiniaceae species. Our protocol produced standard curves with high efficiencies (89.8 to 99.3%; R2 ≥ 0.999) and tight Cq values over different PCR conditions, illustrating high specificity and sensitivity of the qPCR assays. Tested on mock communities of mixed culture species, our qPCR results agreed well with microscopic counts and facilitated calibration of metabarcoding data. To test the applicability of our protocol for field samples, we analyzed three different Hong Kong coral samples. Six Symbiodiniaceae genera were detected in Acropora valida, Oulastrea crispata and Platygra acuta, with Breviolum, Effrenium, Fugacium and Gerakladium sp. being reported for the first time. Our results suggest that aggressively disrupting cells to ensure thorough cell lysis, estimating cell loss and DNA loss, and validating qPCR assays are critical for success. The number of species examined here is limited, but the primers are potentially applicable to most species in respective genera, and the protocol and the approach to develop it provide a base and template towards a standardized procedure for quantitatively characterizing Symbiodiniaceae communities in corals.

We have successfully developed High Temperature Superconducting (HTS) MicroElectroMechanical (MEM) switches for RF applications. A typical switch is composed of a superconducting Yttrium Barium Copper Oxide (YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7) coplanar waveguide structure with a gold bridge membrane suspended above an area of the center conductor covered with Barium Titinate (BaTiO 3) ferroelectric. A control voltage applied between the membrane and transmission line causes the membrane to collapse on top of the dielectric layer by electrostatically induced force; this in turn allows the RF signal to capacitively shunt to ground. Initial testing of switches showed very promising RF behavior with insertion losses less than 0.1 dB with 30 dB isolation at 3 GHz. These switches rely on the " ON/OFF " impedance ratio to achieve switching; this is determined by the dielectric constant of the BaTiO 3 ferroelectric. These switches will be operated at cryogenic temperatures; we have investigated the impedance behavior vs. temperature of the HTS/ferroelectric/metal het-erostructure to better understand the behavior of the insulating layer at cryogenic temperatures.
