moreRecently many new stadiums have been built in Hungary and few major structures are still under construction at the moment. For the adequate serviceability of stadiums, the dynamic performance of installed grandstands is one of the key parameters; however, the current regulations do not set clear requirements in terms of dynamic behaviour and therefore, it can be challenging to arrive to an agreement between the involved parties on the evaluation and acceptance of installed precast units. The Authors participated in an extended test-series, including laboratory investigations and on-site tests, to determine the governing dynamic parameters of the precast grandstand units of one of the new stadiums in the Capitol of Hungary. ÉMI-TÜV SÜD Ltd. was also involved to set criteria for the measured parameters in order to determine serviceability requirements.
