It is universally accepted as the fact that agriculture sector is incapable of creating sufficient gainful employment, food security and spurring economic growth in rural areas of developing countries. Even if our country Ethiopia practice agriculture for a long period, expected outcome is not attained on a sustainable basis to the livelihood of the households and food insecurity until now a day due to limited attention for the high potential of the non-farm sector in the government policies and strategies. Similarly, the challenges and opportunities of women headed households and male headed households in non-agricultural livelihood diversification strategies still uncovered in the rural economy of Ethiopia. Therefore the purpose of this study was to explore the challenges and opportunities of women headed households and male headed households in non-agricultural livelihood diversification in case of Shebel Berenta Woreda. Qualitative research method with the case study design was employed for data collection and data analysis. Qualitative data were collected from 10 interviewees, seven key informants, 28 focus group discussants and observation and the data analyzed via thematically. The result revealed that negative outlook to handicrafts, shortage of working capital, limited market demands, the absence of institutional support, lack of skill training, absence of technology, and laws and regulation were challenges women faced to participate in NFA. While, the presence of family support, natural resources, business plan preparation and mutual support in their own association where the opportunities for women to participate in NFA. If climate crises have a silver lining, it may be the power to provoke residents of high-GDP high-emission countries to question the portrayal of our own societies as "developed,” in the sense of full-grown, perfected. Degrowth is about seeking paths that people positioned as colonizers, labeled as “developed” can follow toward broader, and healthier, global horizons.  In short, high-consumption societies must degrow their resource use and overcome their own obsessions with growth to allow for increased consumption—and especially greater autonomy—among the poorest.

This study has focused on visitor motivation in visiting the Tun Jugah Foundation and identifying the pull factors and push factors that drive to the Tun Jugah Foundation. The objectives of the research that have been focused are to identify the motivation that influence the visitor, to study visitor perceptions and to analyze the level of visitor satisfaction towards the Tun Jugah Foundation. Quantitative methods such as distributing questionnaires to respondents around Kuching and Tun Jugah Foundation building were conducted. In conclusion, this study found that Tun Jugah Foundation is one of the institutions that still maintains the uniqueness and authenticity of the traditional culture of Iban society today.
