Education Inside Museums

It has been gathered in this study typology, concepts, elements, and characteristics of educational action which are carried out inside museums come from academic publications concerning digital collection as well as online forums. Some public political aspects, some branches, and some reflections on the development of groups as well as educational program have also been studied in order to focus blanks in several projects and the support to the topic. These are pretty much justified due to the lack of continuing evaluation of this specific field, mainly related to the demand (BOURDIEU, 2007; 2012). Plus, concerning the relation among the museum, the school, and the rightfulness of educational actions, that relation is analytically to be checked out and put together in order to enforce two important education models for museum. Finally, this short investigation aims to sum up some aspects of educational actions program, introducing mediation odds inside museum facilities. However, it is quite justified, due to this investigation boarders, that neither concepts nor theoretical references have been introduced in order to develop these educational works

O artigo problematiza a conformação do campo dos museus no Brasil entre as décadas de 1930 e 1950. Com base na operação historiográfica, foram analisados registros escritos que possibilitaram mapear diversos sujeitos e as relações entre eles. Conservadores de museus, naturalistas, artistas e educadores estavam entre os indivíduos envolvidos com práticas e ideias relativas aos museus e à educação neles. O estudo buscou mapear o itinerário de alguns sujeitos pouco visíveis na história dos museus e objetivou dar a ver um espaço de interação entre eles. Conclui-se que colaborações, disputas e interações diversas caracterizaram relações em que sujeitos individuais e organizações se reuniram com o propósito de fortalecer os museus e seu viés educativo.

The beginnings of museums in Cieszyn Silesia reach back to 1802. Tracing their history one can notice that their main popularizing and educative functions have always been accompanied by cultural identity dimension including civilizational and local singularities. Today’s practices of museums and collecting, in the form of, for example, regional or school chambers oftradition and history, and private, nongovernmental organizations or parochial museums, may be regarded as grass-roots strategies to protect the regional heritage and substantial artifacts that refer to the past of a place and local communities. These initiatives are addressed both to the inhabitants as well as to the people outside the region. The chambers may be considered to be memory places (lieux de mémoire) for building and supporting regional identity, while the latter, i.e. private and church museums, become one of the tools used to construct cultural distinctiveness of the region and tourist’s experience.

Początki muzealnictwa na Śląsku Cieszynskim siegają 1802 roku. Śledząc jego dzieje, mozna dostrzec, ze funkcji popularyzatorskiej i edukacyjnej towarzyszyl tu zawsze pierwiastek polityki i tozsamości kulturowej – ten ostatni uwzglednial zarowno kategorie „cywilizacji”, jak i specyfiki regionalnej. Dzisiejsze praktyki muzealno-kolekcjonerskie, w postaci izb regionalnych, szkolnych izb tradycji i historii, muzeow prywatnych czy parafialnych, mozna postrzegac jako oddolne strategie ochrony regionalnego dziedzictwa lub materialnych artefaktow odsylających do przeszlości miejsca i lokalnej spoleczności. Inicjatywy te są adresowane zarowno do mieszkancow, jak i do osob spoza regionu. W pierwszym przypadku mozna je rozpatrywac jako miejsca pamieci ( lieux de memoire ) sluzące budowaniu oraz podtrzymywaniu tozsamości regionalnej.
