Background. Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is a benign tumor that most often occurs in men. Many risk factors could cause BPH, one of which is diabetes mellitus (DM). Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease, characterized by hyperglycemia. Method. This study was conducted at the Urology Polyclinic of the Universitas  Sumatera Utara Hospital from August to September 2019. Background Home health monitoring shows promise in improving health outcomes; however, navigating the literature remains challenging given the breadth of evidence. There is a need to summarize the effectiveness of monitoring across health domains and identify gaps in the literature. In addition, ethical and user-centered frameworks are important to maximize the acceptability of health monitoring technologies. Myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1) is a rare multisystemic disorder associated with an expansion of CUG repeats in mutant DMPK (dystrophia myotonica protein kinase) transcripts; the main effect of these expansions is the induction of pre-mRNA splicing defects by sequestering muscleblind-like family proteins (e.g. MBNL1). Disruption of the CUG repeats and the MBNL1 protein complex has been established as the best therapeutic approach for DM1, hence two main strategies have been proposed: targeted degradation of mutant DMPK transcripts and the development of CUG-binding molecules that prevent MBNL1 sequestration. Non-coding RNAs play a pivotal role in a number of diseases promoting an aberrant sequestration of nuclear RNA-binding proteins. In the particular case of myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1), a multisystemic autosomal dominant disease, the formation of large non-coding CUG repeats set up long-tract hairpins able to bind muscleblind-like proteins (MBNL), which trigger the deregulation of several splicing events such as cardiac troponin T (cTNT) and insulin receptor's, among others. Hypertension ranks the third of ten serious disease in Aceh Tenggara district .  The condition is probably related to food consumption of the “Alas communities” that tends to have the habit of life such as drinking coffee, smoking, eating fat and salty food. The research was analytic observational with cross sectional study. The population was all Alas people who got medication and medical facility at Kutambaru Health Center. Student's t-test showed a significant difference between the averages of the two groups {Men,Women} with regard to age at observation p < 0.05, age of disease onset p < 0.0001, prolactinemia at T0 p < 0.0001, and prolactinemia at T1 p< 0.0011.
There was a negatively significant Pearson's R-test correlation between age at observation and prolactinemia at both T0 p < 0.001 and T1 p < 0.001 in the two study groups {Male,Female}.
There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups with regard to the cognitive indices measured by the Rorschach Test. * Ratio of age at mean observation to mean age of disease onset with prolactinemia assessment at time T0 and T1, in the two groups {Man,Woman}.

CONCLUSIONS: We show that there is a negatively significant correlation between age at observation, prolactinaemia and BMI at both T0 and T1 in the two study groups {Male,Female} using Pearson's R-test(**)

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) is associated with the down modulation of Th1, Th2 and Th17 responses in latent Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection but the role of prediabetes (PDM) in this setting is not well understood. To examine the role of CD4+ and CD8+ T cell cytokines in latent tuberculosis (LTB) with coincident PDM, we studied the baseline, mycobacterial, control antigen and mitogen-stimulated T cell cytokine responses in LTB individuals with (LTB-PDM; n = 20) or without (LTB-NDM; n = 20) concomitant prediabetes. ABSTRACTControl over the quantity and quality of food ingested by grazing ruminants in temperate pasture systems remains elusive. This is due in part to the foraging choices that animals make when grazing from communities of mixed plant species. Grazing behavior and intake interact strongly with the feed supply–demand balance, pasture composition, and grazing method. These interactions are not completely understood, even for relatively simple pasture communities such as a perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.)–white clover (Trifolium repens L.) mixture. When offered a free choice between these species, ruminants exhibit a partial preference for clover compared to grass (about 0.7:0.3) and have a higher intake rate from clover but do not graze to maximize their daily intake of dry matter (DM). Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a leading health threat for HIV+ patients on antiretroviral therapy (ART); cardiometabolic comorbidities are key predictors of risk. Data are limited on incidence of metabolic comorbidities in HIV+ individuals initiating ART in low and middle income countries (LMICs), particularly for Hispanics. We examined incidence of diabetes and obesity in a prospective cohort of those initiating ART in the Dominican Republic. Participants ≥18 years, initiating ART &lt;90 days prior to study enrollment, were examined for incidence of impaired fasting glucose (IFG), diabetes mellitus (DM), overweight, and obesity. Fasting plasma glucose (FPG) 100-125mg/dl defined IFG; FPG ≥126 mg/dl, diagnosis per medical record, or use of hypoglycemic medication defined DM. In 2009, Adamus showed that if $G$ is a balanced tripartite graph of order $3n$, $n \geq 2$, with at least $3n^2 - 2n + 2$ edges, then $G$ is hamiltonian and, in fact, $G$ is pancyclic. Removing all but one edge incident with any vertex of the complete, balanced tripartite graph $K(n,n,n)$ shows that this result is best possible. Here we extend the result to balanced $k$-partite graphs of order $kn$. We prove that for all integers $k\geq 3$ and $n\geq 1$, every balanced $k$-partite graph with $kn$ vertices and at least ${{(k^2-k)n^2-2n(k-1)+4}\over 2}$ edges is pancyclic. We also prove a similar result for $k$-partite graphs that are not balanced.

Background: The prevalence of diabetes mellitus is increasing in the developing world; we assessed their prevalence among the rural area of Gazipur in Bangladesh. As no study were previously done in rural area of Bangladesh, this is our first attempt. All the record of diabetic patients in Bangladesh are kept by Diabetic Association of Bangladesh (BADAS).

Objective: To assay the prevalence of diabetes mellitus (registered by BADAS and not registered from BADAS) in rural areas of Gazipur.

Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional survey (n = 932), we randomly selected consenting adults (18 to 73 years) from a middle-income neighborhood in Gazipur. We assessed demography, lifestyle and health status and measured blood pressure. We evaluated two primary outcomes: (1) diabetic patients registered under Diabetic Association of Bangladesh and (2) history of hypertension.

Results: This study included a total of 932 adults (693 males and 239 females) aged between 18 and 73 years. Majority of the participants were married (92.2%). More than half of the participants either had diabetes mellitus (51.4%) or hypertension (54.5%). Out of the diabetic patients, 38.2% were registered under Diabetic Association of Bangladesh.

Conclusions: The prevalence of diabetes mellitus among the rural area of Gazipur is alarmingly high. Screening services should be implemented while researchers focus on strategies to lessen the incidence and morbidity associated with these conditions.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of the feed supplements monensin, virginiamycin, or a combination of the two, on intake, digestibility, and methane emission in the male cattle breed F1 Holstein × Gir. We used a complete randomised design with four treatments consisting of the control, monensin, virginiamycin, and a combination of the two. The basal diets were composed of sorghum silage with Tanzania grass and the concentrate in the 1 : 1 ratio. Nutrient intake (P &gt; 0.05) and the apparent digestibility coefficients (P &gt; 0.05) were not affected by the supplementation with monensin, virginiamycin, or both. The combination of the supplements did affect methane emission (P &lt; 0.05) when expressed in L/day, L/(kg DM), and L/(kg DM digestible). The lowest methane production was obtained with the combination of the supplements.
