moreIn the present paper the author offers new data to the knowledge of the ant-fauna of the Upper Arieş river basin. Altogether 23 species were identified during this study. Upon these results the number of known species reaches 39 in this region. The majority of species are common in Romania, with the exception of Myrmica hellenica Finzi, 1926, which is reported for the third time for Romania.
