Ruwatan itself comes from the word ruwat which means free or free. Ruwatan is a ceremony carried out to eliminate the impact that can take the form of bad luck, keep away all the bad possibilities that can occur if someone is one of the people who must be treated. From the research that has been carried out, it shows that the Ruwatan Bumi traditional ceremony in Karangpetir Village, Tambak District, Banyumas Regency has existed since the era of the Mataram kingdom, because Tambak is the territory of the kingdom.
