The study sought to establish implementation challenges facing capital gain tax in Kenya. The capital gain tax legislation in Kenya is based on the system that was first implemented in 1970 which was later suspended in 1985 with hasty and not detailed changes made to bring it back into force.

Stakeholder involvement is critical in that it can enhance levels of ownership of the decisions made as well building trust between the governors and the governed. The purpose of the study was to investigate the influence principals’ involvement of students in decision making on student discipline in secondary schools, Kenya. The study sought to establish the areas of student involvement in decision making by secondary school principals and determine whether significant differences exist between reported incidences of student indiscipline based on the levels of student involvement in decision making in secondary schools. This study investigated the differences between the various legal entities of service provider organizations which provide the privatized artificial insemination services in Nyeri County, Kenya. The study found that 89.5% of the service providers were serving as private entities, 7.0% were in Cooperative societies while 3.5% were serving as farmers’ self-help groups. All the AI practitioners used motorcycles for transport and stored semen in liquid nitrogen tanks. Government support to AI service providers was only in form of training which was received by 21% of the service providers. Non-governmental organizations also provided training to 17.5% of the respondents. However, these organizations provided financial credit to 3.5% as well as equipment support to 3.5% of the service providers. It was concluded that private AI service providers have a potential of performing better than Cooperative societies or self-help groups despite the benefits of farmers having a jointly owned service.

In spite of the governments’ effort in the fight ag ainst drug and substance abuse in Kenya, the proble m is still rampant among secondary school students. The main o bjective was to assess the effectiveness of the sch ool urriculum in curbing drug and substance abuse (DSA) among second ary school students. Literature relating to school curriculum areas and curbing DSA in schools was reviewed. The study employed descriptive survey design. The study sampl e consisted of 35 head teachers and 407 students. Drug and substance abuse among students has been one of the main concerns of managers in secondary schools worldwide. The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of drug and substanceabusing families on parental participation in the management of students’ discipline in public day secondary schools in Kitui County, Kenya. The hypothesis was: there is no significant relationship between parents’ drug and substance abuse and parental participation in management of students’ discipline. This study was conducted to determinethe influence of the principals’ use of participatory decision making on the status of students’ discipline in secondary schools in Kiambu County. The study adopted a descriptive survey method and employed questionnaires and interview schedules to collect data. The study sample consisted of 15 principals, 21 deputy principals, 55 class teachers and 375 students from selected schools in the County. The quantitative data from questionnaires was analysed with the aid of SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) and presented using tables, graphs and pie charts. Students’ exposure to electronic media facilities and lack of parental supervision has led to indiscipline among students globally. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of students’ exposure to electronic media facilities in their homes on parental involvement in management of students’ discipline in public day secondary schools in Kitui County, Kenya.
