La Biblioteca Nazionale Universitaria di Torino, fondata nel 1563 da Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia, conserva tra le sue collezioni oltre 300 manoscritti greci, dal IX al XVI secolo. Prima dell’incendio del 1904, che distrusse parte delle sue raccolte librarie, ne contava 405. Il fondo si è costituito tra la seconda metà del XVI e l’inizio del XVII secolo, e per tre quarti è costituito dai libri greci di Gavriil Seviros (m. 1616), teologo e capo spirituale della Confraternita dei Greci di Venezia. I manoscritti greci furono catalogati nel 1749 dall’abate Giuseppe Pasini; nel 1896 Carlo Oreste Zuretti descrisse i manoscritti non compresi in Pasini. Questa moderna catalogazione sarà articolata in 5 volumi. Il primo comprende 23 codici (segnature B.I.1-23), di grande formato, poco danneggiati dall’incendio. Le descrizioni, improntate ai più moderni esempi catalografici, saranno analitiche e riguarderanno stato di conservazione, contenuto, fascicolazione, mise en page, supporto scrittorio, scrittura, ornamentazione, foliazione, legatura, storia e bibliografia.

The National University Library of Turin holds more than 300 Greek manuscripts (9th-16th century), most of them from Gavriil Seviros (d. 1616), a theologian and spiritual leader of the Confraternity of the Greeks of Venice. The new catalog is planned in five volumes; the first includes 23 codices (shelfmark B.I.1-23) together with an overview of the formation and development of the Greek manuscript collection of Turin. The descriptions are analytical and take into account all external and internal aspects.

Un centinaio di schede catalografiche digitali, realizzate in TEI, di manoscritti greci delle biblioteche di Cambridge, prodotte nell'ambito del progetto “Polonsky Foundation Greek Manuscripts Project” (https://www.lib.cam.ac.uk/collections/departments/manuscripts-university-archives/subject-guides/medieval-manuscripts/polonsky), una collaborazione tra le Università di Cambridge e Heidelberg per il restauro, la catalogazione e la digitalizzazione dei manoscritti greci delle biblioteche di Cambridge e della Bibliotheca Palatina (2018-2021).

The paper deals with the reconstruction of a manuscript, Taur. C.VII.16, which was heavily damaged by the fire. Whereas it was assumed until now that, due to the damages, the manuscript had completely lost one of the two works it contained (the Homeric Centos of the Empress Eu- docia), the paper aims to demonstrate that this text survived the fire and was restored and – incorrectly – identified as another manuscript, Taur. B.VII.31.

The National University Library of Turin holds more than 300 Greek manuscripts. The fire of 1904 not only destroyed over a hundred manuscripts, but damaged the surviving ones. Moreover the catalogues of this collection are mostly out of date, therefore a modern one is needed. The article briefly outlines the characteristics of the Turin Greek collection and the project of the new catalogue, and provides two examples of description.
