The literature shows that learning disabilities (LD), if not early recognized, can have consequences on the psychological development of the child. In this work I tackle certain aspects of the relationship between time and intersubjectivity in Alfred Schutz. I present a summary of the methodological architecture of the Austrian sociologist, outlining the specificity of the relationship between time and consciousness. I discuss the treatment of the musical experience as an example of the peculiar declination of a series of temporal dynamics connected to the intersubjective creation of meanings. Finally, I set out some thoughts related to the debate on the relationship between time, intersubjectivity and music in Schutz. The musical relationship is a context endowed with meaning, not the object of conceptualization, that allows us to identify in a paradigmatic way the relationship between the subjective sense and experience of the other. The intention of this paper is that of problematizing the different ways in which Blumer interprets concepts, and the relationships of these last with the meaning and with the methodology of observation. The problem of the relationship between conceptual reflection and empirical observation is an ever-present theme in the social sciences, a theme that in Blumer takes on particular significance in light of two cardinal aspects: the first regards the process of reflection, the problems of “Self” and interaction as poles of construction of reality; the second involves the presence of an incoherent and discontinuous methodology which often assumes the form of an ingenuous realism based on the theory of truth as correspondence. The dualism present in this vision, as Denzin explains (1992, Italian edition 2009) in his panoramic overview of the history of Interactionism, and as was more recently treated by Best (2006), Puddephatt (2009), and (Hammersley 2010), has created not a few problems.

In questo lavoro, si evidenziano alcune connessioni tra il pensiero di Ludwig Wittgenstein e le elaborazioni critiche alla metodologia delle scienze sociali di Aaron V. Cicourel. I principali nessi tra i due autori riguardano il tema della comprensione dei ragionamenti quotidiani.
Secondo Cicourel, comprendere significa attribuire un significato, partendo dall’interpretazione di una serie di elementi organici alla prassi sociale. L’autore parla di veicoli e di modalità contestuali, di costituzione intersoggettiva dei significati. L'intento è di esplicitare le similitudini tra le idee di linguaggio, forma di vita e gioco linguistico di Wittgenstein e le idee di pratiche procedurali e di validità ecologica di Cicourel.

Il fine di questo lavoro è di evidenziare alcuni tratti del percorso «culturale» di Alfred Schutz . Secondo il sociologo austriaco le scienze sociali sono scienze della cultura perché il mondo è dotato di senso. Egli pone le basi per una teoria fenomenologica della cultura sui generis, un abbozzo di sociologia dei processi culturali , una sorta di «grammatica invariante» sotto forma di una rigorosa teoria di base per definire le strutture significative dell’esperienza attraverso le quali si articolano i fenomeni socio-culturali.

In questo saggio vengono delineati i principi della sociologia del linguaggio di Thomas Luckmann. Nel testo viene sviluppata la teoria dei segni e dei simboli, che l’autore riprende da Alfred Schutz, e viene messo in evidenza il ruolo del linguaggio nel rapporto tra individuo società. Il linguaggio viene affrontato con una duplice chiave sociologica: ricostruttiva, dal momento che può essere considerato come concetto usato individualmente per “ricostruire i significati sociali; costruttiva, dal momento che il linguaggio è anche un costrutto collettivo che ordina la realtà sociale e individuale.
Il volume tripartisce l’analisi del linguaggio di Luckmann: in primo luogo, vengono specificati i presupposti dell’uso del linguaggio, partendo dalle attività della coscienza che sono rinvenibili nelle relazioni faccia a faccia; in secondo luogo, vengono descritte le origini del linguaggio, sottolineando l’importanza dei segni e dei simboli come base culturale della selezione della realtà. Infine, il linguaggio viene analizzato come concetto collettivo che ha una struttura storica e delle funzioni sociali.
