Within the notions enclosed in such as human rights, social justice and disadvantages, social work itself has a natural connection with immigration. Specifically with approaches such as empowerment, anti-oppressive practice and rights-based approach; social workers have an active role on immigration by providing services which are suitable for human dignity and by helping them to have a healthy integration process. This paper aims to conclude the connection between immigration and social work through the relation of social work and human rights with the approaches of social work itself. This review presents the relation between social work, human rights and immigration by including the legal situation of the refugees in Turkey, problems it created while reaching social support services and the approaches could be used by the social workers when they are working with refugees.

This paper aims to discuss the position of the LGBTI+ children who faces with the violence and who is open to abuse and neglect in the system created by binary gender system and patriarchal ideology. Within this discussion, this paper also includes the important role of social work discipline on neglect and abuse and its relation with LGBTI+ youth and children, and lastly the crucial factors for the social work interventions. This article tries to point out the importance of the topic for LGBTI+ children neglected and abused in a severely way by the patriarchal system, gender roles and hegemonic masculinity, yet not always spoken or stressed/ emphasized.

Bu çalışma günümüzde çocuğa yönelik ihmal ve istismar olgularının içerisinde, ikili cinsiyet sistemin ve ataerkil ideolojinin yaratmış olduğu düzende bir şiddetle karşılaşan ve ihmal ve istismara açık olan LGBTİ+ çocukların yerini tartışmaktadır. Bu tartışma ile birlikte, ihmal ve istismar konusunda önemli bir yere sahip olan sosyal hizmet mesleği ile LGBTİ+ çocuk ve ergenlerin ilişkisi ve bu alandaki müdahalede önemli faktörler yer almaktadır. Ataerkil sistem, toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri ve hegamonik erkeklik olguları düşünüldüğünde, ihmal ve istismarı şiddetli bir şekilde yaşayan, ancak her zaman konuşulmayan LGBTİ+ çocuklar açısından konunun önemi ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır.

İçinde barındırdığı insan hakları, sosyal adalet ve savunuculuk gibi kavramlarla dezavantajlılık konusuna yaklaşan bir meslek olan sosyal hizmet, mültecilik konusu ile yakından ilgilidir. Özellikle kendine has güçlendirme, baskı karşıtı uygulama ve hak temelli yaklaşım gibi yöntemleri ile mültecilerin insan haklarına yaraşır bir biçimde desteklere ulaşması ve sağlıklı bir entegrasyon süreci geçirmeleri adına sosyal hizmet uzmanları mültecilik alanında aktif bir role sahiptir. Bir derleme niteliğinde olan bu yazı, insan hakları ve sosyal hizmet ilişkisi üzerinden sosyal hizmet yaklaşımlarına değinerek, mültecilik konusunu ele almaktadır. Bu inceleme mültecilerin Türkiye’deki statülerinin, desteklere erişimde yarattığı sıkıntılar ve sosyal hizmet uzmanının mültecilerle çalışırken kullanacakları yaklaşımları içererek sosyal hizmetin insan hakları ve mültecilik ile ilişkisini sunmaktadır.
