His research focusses on the art and the history of the Middle Kingdom.
He headed a research program dedicated to the study of the ancient royal Residence of Itj-Tawy as part of the Institut français d'archéologie orientale scientific research program (2012-2016) (http://www.ifao.egnet.net)
