Fire blight is a bacterial disease caused by Erwinia amylovora. It is one of the most destructive diseases of pome fruit trees, particularly affecting apple and pear trees. In the present study, 15 bacterial isolates were isolated from apple orchards displaying fire blight disease symptoms in the summer of 2015. They were identified as E. amylovora based on morphological, pathological and biochemical (BIOLOG) analyses, including PCR assays. The molecular characterisation of these isolates using PCR were performed with specific primers for conventional (single) PCR, as well as from PCR amplification of the 16S rRNA gene using universal primers. The PCR products were positive and had the expected length of 1.1 kb. There is little information about the presence of E. amylovora on apple trees in Macedonia. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of fire blight in apples caused by E. amylovora in the Republic of Macedonia.

Furthermore, air pollution has created a lot of problems in the developed and developing countries. To avoid or reduce these problems, constant monitoring of air should be ensured. The conventional techniques is costly because it requires a lot of money and time consuming. Most air pollution analysis requires equipment which is costly, not readily available and time-consuming. Biomonitoring has been the alternative method. Bryophites and various plants are biomonitors available to entrap air pollutants. An increasing number of research articles in the past five years have investigated the elemental composition and the isotope ratios as indicators to determine the origin of food and beverages. The proposed investigation will be the first attempt of application of validated method including multi-element and multi-isotope chemical characterization and the statistical tools in order to use for determination of the geographical origin of food and beverages in the R. Many studies have been conducted in order to monitor the content of heavy metals in different parts of the biosphere of the two countries. The significantly worrying data were obtained in both cases; indicates the presence of higher content of heavy metals (Cd, Cu, Cr, Fe, Hg, Ni, Pb, Tl and Zn) in soils in Macedonia (Stafilov et al., 2014) and China (Wang et al., 2003). The quality of groundwater was investigated for possible agriculture pollution in the traditional agriculture region of Strumica, situated in the southeast part of the Republic of Macedonia. Almost 200 samples of water from boreholes in 14 different points were collected and analyzed by relevant standard methods for a total content of Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+, NH +, Cl-, HCO -, SO 2-, NO -, NO -, and PO 3-. The results showed that groundwater in the studied area 4 3 4 3 2 4 is generally neutral to slightly alkaline. The abundance of the major ions is Mg2+>Ca2+>K+>Na+ and HCO ->Cl->PO 3->SO 2-. Concentration range of the main 3 4 4 cations Na+, K+, Ca2+ Mg2+ and NH + is 1.40 – 36.71mg/L, 0.68 – 354.44 mg/L, 7.43 – 411.18 mg/L, 1.07 – 96.14 mg/L and < LOQ (limit of quantification) – 55.89 4 mg/L, respectively. This paper is about the species Heteranthera reniformis Ruiz & Pavon found in the rice fields in Kocani-Štip. It is a new adventive species for the flora in Republic of Macedonia. In the text the morphological description of the new weed from the family Pontederiaceae is given.This species Heteranthera reniformis Ruiz & Pavon for the first time is found in July 2004 around Kocani, but less spread in rice fields. In August 2005 this weed is found again in locality between village Cesinovo and village Spancevo left and right from the road. In the rice fields the weed is prevalent on surface about 600 ha and occupied 60-70% from the rice field.

The recent observation of Giberella fujikuroi (Sawada) Wollenworth (teleomorph) (anamorf: Fusarium moniliforme Sheld.) Fusarium fujikuroi Nirenberg (anamorph), F. moniliforme (synonym)the causel agent of Bakanae disease in rice fields, provides an opportunity to observe the characteristics of the pathogen and the possibility of prevention in Kocani area. Plant material with Giberella fujikuroi symptoms was collected from rice (Oryza sativa)over the period of 3 years (from 2006 to 2008). Within this study, the presence and damage caused by the pathogen fungus were confirmed. The objective of this study was continuous field observation of symptoms in order to establish the percentage of infection and use of laboratory methods for proper protection.

Nowadays, the research work is directed to the influence of capsaicin on physiological and biochemical processes of humans, animals, and recently plants as a biopesticide. Phytochemical studies of Capsicum annuum L. increase the application of secondary metabolites in pharmacy, food technology and medicine. In this paper, the possibilities of utilization of Capsicum annuum ssp. microcarpum L. for extracting capsaicin and its use as a biopesticide against the green peach aphid Myzus persicae Sulz. in pepper culture are sublimed.
