En el artículo se exponen algunos de los antecedentes centrales del proyecto de investigación «Poder, participación ciudadana y género: significado del liderazgo femenino desde una construcción masculina». 1 Utilizando un enfoque cualitativo, se desarrollaron entrevistas abiertas con el objetivo de comprender el significado que le asignan los hombres al liderazgo femenino. Los discursos fueron analizados en base a la Teoría Fundamentada de Strauss-Corbin (2003). Los resultados muestran que los varones coinciden en términos generales respecto a los cambios que ha habido en los roles de género, en que las mujeres tienen y deben tener más oportunidades, en que hay una mayor incorporación de éstas en el mercado laboral y en la necesidad de tener relaciones más equitativas al interior de la familia. Así, emergen tensiones que configuran el malestar de la masculinidad traspasando la esfera íntima y cuestionando las relaciones de intergénero actuales. También hay discursos más progresistas en los varones, que se aventuran hacia un reconocimiento de las capacidades y roles que han ido asumiendo las mujeres en el espacio público, aunque se trata de un reconocimiento vigilante, ambivalente, mediatizado por una percepción de confianza/desconfianza, eficiencia/incompetencia, hacia lo que ellas son capaces de lograr.

In this work, we present a new procedure, called sub-sampling, to obtain data concerning time of failure in trials without replacement, (NRT). With this data it is possible to determine the prediction interval (PI) for the future number of failures. We also present an alternative way to evaluate the coverage probability of the prediction interval (PI). The results presented show that the method proposed is reliable and can be useful for the statistical analyses of quality control of processes.

Este artículo desarrolla brevemente el pensamiento educativo de Kant. Se refiere al sentido de la educación, a sus dimensiones y a la pedagogía, tratando de mostrar que dicho pensamiento se comprende desde los planteamientos que él hace en materia de moral y que es de gran actualidad.

The results have shown that, as for an immediate post-partum separation, the maternal response is maintained () after a separation of . However, the response is null () after 1-h separations. After a brief mother-young post-partum contact, the results show that there is maternal response after separations of 1 and 8 h (). On the other hand, a separation of 24 h brings about the extinction of that maternal response () and breaks any mother-young ties that may have been established during that brief period of initial contact.

A pesar del bajo número de inmigrantes internacionales residentes en Chile, los datos censales indican que los movimientos se han incrementado desde inicios de los 90. Chile aparece como una "oportunidad interviniente" en el proceso de decisión migratoria. En el año 2002 solo el 2% de la población residente en el Área Metropolitana de Santiago nació en el extranjero, cifra bastante más baja que la registrada en ciudades europeas. Si bien los inmigrantes se concentran en 5 de las 34 comunas que conforman la metrópolis, la ciudad presenta escasas evidencias de segregación residencial, sin embargo, esta homogeneidad en la distribución espacial no se ve reflejada en el mercado laboral. En el Área Metropolitana de Santiago, al igual que en las ciudades globales, dos grandes tipos de inmigrantes se insertan en el mercado ocupacional: por un lado aquellos que pertenecen a los niveles más altos de la jerarquía ocupacional, y por otro, quienes trabajan en empleos que requieren baja calificación.
