Johannes Rehner
Johannes Rehner is professor of geography at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (UC) and member of the Center for Asian Studies UC. Currently he is Head of the Institute of Geography at UC.
He studied Geography and obtained his doctorate at the LMU in Munich/Germany, dedicated mostly to the field of economic geography. Later he has worked on urban sustainable development as member of CEDEUS and as consultant for UN ECLAC. His current research addresses economic relations between Latin America and Asia, particularly its regional and local impacts in Chile, from the perspective of resource governance, extractivismo and sustainable development.
