As Blurr was racing across the New Mexico desert, he noticed a figure in the distance, which turned out to be a now human-aligned Bumblebee. Transformers: Beginnings
In a former Cold War bunker in New Mexico, Sector Seven prepared their trap for Bumblebee, using an artificial isotope made to give off the same sort of energy signature as the AllSpark. Two days after Sector Seven set up their trap, Bumblebee was sighted in the area, with Barricade in pursuit. Just as Sector Seven realized that the "local law enforcement" was actually "N.B.E.-3", Blackout showed up and attacks the bunker, soon joined by Starscream. Blackout quickly discovered that the real AllSpark was not in the bunker, but also figured that the humans must know where the real AllSpark is if they were able to simulate his energy signature. As he tried to hack into Sector Seven's database, Agent Simmons ordered his people to cut the connection to the S7 mainframe.
IDW movie comics
In 2003, Agent Simmons dedicated his efforts to capturing N.B.E.-2. Creating an artificial a burst of AllSpark energy, he waited for the alien to arrive to him. As he approached the source of the AllSpark energy in the New Mexico desert, Bumblebee came under attack from Barricade. Other Decepticons, meanwhile, attacked the energy source and exposed it as a Sector Seven ruse. Bumblebee managed to escape as the Decepticons dispatched the Sector Seven helicopters attempting to cryo-freeze them, though unbeknownst to him the Decepticons let him go so that they could track him. Movie Prequel #4
Dirt Boss, Rumble, Ratbat, Buzzsaw, and Beastbox attempted to rescue the captured Soundwave from a Bumblebee-led Autobot convoy in New Mexico. Dirt Boss battled Dune Runner until Bumblebee, seeing his team being overwhelmed, fled, allowing the Decepticons to recover Soundwave. Nefarious #3

At some point a Predacon perished in New Mexico, leaving behind only a fossilized piece of spine. A team of Vehicons were sent there to retrieve it, but they ran afoul of Arcee and Wheeljack, who took possession of the fossil.
