This article is about the foam-launching handguns. For the fictional organization from some anime, see Nerv.
Or nothin'!

NERF (officially in all-caps, but more commonly just "Nerf") is a subsidiary of Hasbro that produces soft foam balls, darts, and dart guns blasters. Originally produced by the Parker Brothers corporation, Nerf was acquired by Hasbro during the purchase of Tonka.

Several Transformers-branded products have featured Nerf's dart blaster technology, which uses puffs of pressurized air to propel soft foam darts.

San Diego Comic-Con 2011

  • Optimus Prime Barricade RV-10 Nerf Blaster (2011)
  • Accessories: 10 Nerf Whistler Darts.
A redeco of the Nerf Barricade RV-10 was released as a Hasbro Toy Shop exclusive that was first offered at the San Diego Comic-Con 2011 Hasbro booth and later made available via the Hasbro Toy Shop website. The new color scheme is based on a Transformer, but sadly not on that one. Instead, the color scheme is red and blue, with Optimus Prime decals and designs. The weapon is a semi-automatic blaster (using a flywheel system) and has a revolving barrel that can hold ten Whistler Darts (hence the number code "RV-10"). Like the regular version of the Barricade, it features a standardized attachment point for a shoulder stock and a tactical rail, which can be used to attach various accessories.

BOASTFUL FIST!
  • Optimus Prime Battle Rig Blaster (2007)
    • Accessories:
The Optimus Prime Battle Rig Blaster transforms from a super-deformed amalgamation of his Movie truck and G1 Optimus Prime's truck (indeed, pulling G1 Prime's trailer) to a fully G1-style robotic forearm and hand with a built-in Nerf blaster. Simply place your hand inside the back of the trailer (I need an adult!) and pull back on the front of the truck, and the gun transforms and folds back into a weapon. It comes with three Nerf N-Strike-size Screamin' Mega Darts, which can be stored inside the trailer. Although not shown in the image, the truck front splits in half in gun-mode, while the grille acts as a sight. This toy was marketed as the "Optimus Prime Big Rig Blaster" in Europe.

    • Accessories: 10 Nerf Whistler Darts
This blaster, released as part of the Dark of the Moon toy line's "Robo Power" range (named "Robot Heroes" in Europe), is based around the same general concept as the Nerf Hyperfire blaster that was originally released as part of the Dart Tag line in 2004.
