Edward Mooney
I'll invite you to check out my Thoreau blog, "Mists on the Rivers" for informal conversations on my academic interests: http://edmooneyblog.wordpress.com/
There you'll find more on the facts to which this Academia.com page attest, that I write on Kierkegaard, Cavell, Thoreau, and more generally on the loss of intimacy in our pedagogy in the humanities (I mean here the loss of close, personally exposed reading that brings together initiates in the strange and familiar worlds that texts offer). A book titled Excursions with Kierkegaard: Others, Goods, Death, and Final Faith came out Fall 2012 (my fifth on the guy) and I'm well into another on Thoreau's fascinating authorship. My blog has a full CV, easier to read there than the one posted here. I'm past-President of the North American Kierkegaard Society. I have budding affiliations with Tel Aviv University and The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
