Dr Hemantkumar Bulsara
Dr. Hemantkumar P. Bulsara received his Bachelor of Engineering (Production Engineering) degree from S. V. National Institute of Technology (NIT), Surat, India and Double MBA from DBIM, VNSGU, Surat, India. He did his FDPM from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM A), India and completed his Ph.D. from S. V. National Institute of Technology (NIT), Surat, India. At present, he is an Associate Professor (Management) and a Head of Applied Mathematics and Humanities Department at very reputed S. V. National Institute of Technology (NIT), Surat, India. He was also a Faculty in-charge of Applied Mathematics and Humanities Department, SVNIT, Surat. He has more than 20 years of experience. His areas of research are Technology Innovations and Entrepreneurship, Technology Business Incubation, Marketing Management, Strategy, Supply Chain Management, General Management and he is also guiding Ph.D. scholars in those areas (completed 13 PhDs under his supervision and a few more are ongoing.). He has completed one Course development and Pedagogy project (Industrial Management) for Government of India through IIT Kharagpur and one project on Techno-Entrepreneurship. He has more than 90 research papers. He has delivered more than 100 expert lectures including keynote speeches all over the world. He is an editorial board member and reviewer of several national and international Journals of repute. He has been a keynote speaker, a Conference chair and a session chair at National and International level. He traveled to many countries like USA, UK, France, Netherlands, Italy, Bali Indonesia, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Finland, U.A. E., South Africa etc.

people mainly focus on various aspects of business but forget
about tendency towards entrepreneurial traits or
characteristics. Enterprising Tendency is one of the most
important parts of an Entrepreneurship. The aim of the paper
is to study tendency towards entrepreneurial characteristics of
entrepreneurs. In this paper, the comparative study of an
Enterprising Tendency with the help of General Enterprising
Tendency Test (GETT) and four cases in Gujarat, India was
presented. The GETT was conducted on four lead
entrepreneurs of the select cases. The result of the same are
listed in the paper. The tendency towards characteristics of the
entrepreneurs is also judged subjectively through analysis of
the cases. Hence, both objective and subjective analysis are
matched in the paper. The results show that there is
considerable matching between both. This paper would be
useful to understand importance and behavior of tendency
towards entrepreneurial characteristics which are required to
be a successful entrepreneur.

established National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board under DST.
In this paper we will try to give information and study, mainly exploratory, related to these
support activities to convert Techno-innovation to Techno Entrepreneurship by keeping main
focus on Technology Business Incubation approach in India. Here we are trying to give
conceptual model to establish relationship between Techno Innovation and Techno
Entrepreneurship. And this will be substantiated by various Techno Innovation and Techno
Entrepreneurship illustrations of real life. Here, the major focus is given to Technology Busin ess
Incubation approach to support and create Techno Entrepreneurship from Techno-innovation.
This paper will show a research gap, in the context of India, in the area of Techno -
entrepreneurship through Technology Business Incubation. This can be further useful for
research in broader sense in future in this context. This paper also give ideas about which kind of
research is possible in the context India in this area.

case study of one company of India – Aura Herbal Textiles Limited which has developed
Herbal Dyeing process instead of normal chemical dyeing process for cloths to create
eco-friendly environment. The company has also got the patent on this technology. The
case was written mainly from entrepreneurship point of view with emphasis on green
technology – Herbal Dyeing & Organic Textiles also. This case study shows how
Technology Business Incubator, CIIE – IIM Ahmedabad (Centre for Innovation,
Incubation and Entrepreneurship) has played a role in helping this technology innovation
to create business out of that. Some business strategy aspects are also given in the case
study. So, this case study also gives the aspect of Techno-preneurship (Technology
Entrepreneurship).
