Salah satu danau tersebut yaitu Danau Putus mempunyai daya tarik sendiri. Saat ini Danau tersebut hanya digunakan untuk kegiatan perikanan tangkap. Keindahan Danau Putus memiliki keunikan, sayangnya belum dijadikan kawasan ekowisata. Tujuan tulisan ini memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat untuk tertarik menjadikan kawasan ekowisata. Potensi danau tersebut belum dimanfaatkan menjadi kawasan ekowisata. Menjadikan kawasan ekowisata tidak cukup hanya dari segi keindahan saja namun dari masyarakatnya juga harus ikut andil. A study on morphological characteristic of the male and female of Diplocheilichthys pleurotaenia obtained from River Kampar has been conducted in November 2011 - August 2013. This study aims to understand the similarity and the differences of the male and female characteristic of the fish that inhabit in the River Kampar. There were 52 fishes of males and 85 fishes of females were examined in this study. Morphological characteristics were examined consisted of 43 characteristics. The research may explain that the morphological characteristics between male and female of the fish and the types were based on its morphology. The morphometric characters were difference between male and female of fish are Height under linealateralis (TBbl), Width caudal peduncle (LBE), Lenght from pelvic fin to anal fin(JSVSA), Height dorsal fin (TSD), Height pectoral fin (TSP) and lenght pelvic fin (TSV).

Penelitian ini dilakukan atas kerjasama antara Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan Kabupaten Natuna Provinsi Kepulauan Riau dengan Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan Universitas Riau Indonesia dengan rentang waktu penelitian selama 4 bulan pada tahun 2015. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui potensi ikan yang boleh ditangkap di kawasan konservasi perairan daerah sehingga lestari. Metode penelitian berupa metode survei dengan pengumpulan data produksi perikanan secara time series (5 tahun) dari statistik perikanan tangkap Dinas Kelautan danPerikanan Kabupaten Natuna. Analisis dilakukan mengunakan analisis surplus produksi. Potensi lestari ikan demersal pada kawasan I yaitu 184.177,51 ton/ tahun dengan effort optimum 49.237 unit. Pada kawasan II yaitu 9.042,49 ton/tahun dengan effort optimum 2.089 unit dan pada kawasan III yaitu 5.150,20 ton/ tahun dengan effort optimum 859 unit.

Sumber daya perikanan dapat dimanfaatkan secara berkelanjutan dengan tidak melebihi kapasitas untuk memulihkan dirinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan sumber daya perikanan dalam wilayah pengelolaan Kawasan Konservasi Laut Daerah (KKLD) Kabupaten Lingga yang meliputi biofisik, kondisi dan potensi perikanan. Kedalaman perairan berkisar antara 0,5 – 52 m, kecepatan arus rata-rata 20 -80 cm/s dengan arah arus pasang 135-180o dadan arah arus surut 316=355o. Kecerahan air antara 3 – 7 m, pH antara 8,1 – 8,3, Oksigen terlarut antara 4,16 – 8,3 ppm, salinitas 27,9 – 31,2 0/00 . Jumlah Rumah tangga Perikanan 9.697, armada penangkapan ikan berupa perahu/sampan dan perahu motor/pompong, Potensi Perikanan Tangkap lebih kurang 275.371,43 ton per tahun.

Diplocheilichthys pleurotaenia is one of native fish present in the Kampar River. This fish used to migrate to downstream area due to reproductive activities. The construction of the Koto Panjang Dam may hamper this activity and also divided the population into 2 groups, the upstream and downstream population. To understand the biological aspects of the fish in both populations and its relationship to the presence of the dam, this study has been conducted from November 2011 to August 2012. The fish was sampled in the Kampar River, in the upstream and downstream of the Koto Panjang Dam. The fish was captured using gill nets monthly for a ten months period. The number of fish captured in the upstream was 7, while that of of the downstream was 228. The sex ratio of the fish is almost balance. Nutrient in the water is an important factor to grow plankton and thus addition of booster may improve the plankton abundance. This research aims to understand the effects of fermented booster mixture addition toward plankton abundance. There were 5 treatments applied, Po (control); P1 (0.075 mL L); P2 (0.45 mL L); P3 (0.825 mL L) and P4 (1.2 mL L). The booster was added to hybrid tilapia (Oreochromis aureus x O. niloticus) culture media (circular tank, 80 L, brackish water 17 ppt). The fish (2.04-2.87 g body weight (BW), 5.2-5.43 cm total length (TL)) density was 40 fishes tank, and they were fed on commercial pellet (38% protein content), 3 times a day, 5% of their biomass. Untuk meningkatkan pendapatan nelayan di Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara Kecamatan Sungai Apit Kabupaten Siak perlu diberikan mata pencaharian alternatif berupa budidaya ikan dengan menggunakan teknologi bioflok. Agar teknologi bioflok dapat diaplikasikan, maka masyarakat sasaran perlu diberi pengetahuan dan keterampilan melalui kegiatan penyuluhan. Kegiatan penyuluhan dilakukan untuk meningkatkan ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat sasaran sehingga mereka dapat mengaplikasikan budidaya ikan dengan teknologi bioflok. Pelaksanaan penyuluhan menggunakan metoda ceramah, diskusi dan demontrasi terhadap berbagai materi yang disajikan. Dari hasil kegiatan diketahui bahwa masyarakat sasaran terlihat antusias terhadap kegiatan yang dilaksanakan, peserta mulai mengerti dan paham terhadap materi yang disajikan dan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta tentang budidaya ikan lele dengan teknologi bioflok antara 60-80%.

Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) have been isolated successfully from the tiger grouper Epinephelusfuscoguttatus intestine. However, their genus or species have not been identified. Therefore, the objective of the present study was to characterize the three isolated LAB (KSBU-12C, KSBU-5Da, and KSBU-9) based on their phenotype and genotype. The LAB phenotype was examined by observing morphological features including cell morphology, spore production and motility. Background The objective of the present study was to evaluate the growth performance and feed utilization of African catfish Clarias gariepinus fed a commercial diet and reared in the biofloc system enhanced with probiotic. Methods The treatment was the frequency of probiotic application into the cultured system, namely, 5-day interval, 10-day interval, and 15-day interval for 60 days of experiment. Biofloc culture was grown in an experiment tank (vol. 2000 L) by mixing the probiotic (Bacillus sp.) 10 mL and molasses 200 mL per liter of water.  The fish was stocked into the biofloc system 7 days after cultured at stocking density of 1000 fish tank-1.  The fish was fed a commercial diet that contains 38% crude protein, twice a day at satiation. Methods: A completely randomized design with four levels of treatment was used in this study. Osteochillus hasselti was commonly inhabit the Lubuk Siam Lake. A research aims to understand the standing stock of O. hasselti in that lake was conducted in July to August 2018. The fish was sampled everyday for 10 days in July and 10 days in August, in 3 sampling points (in the inlet area, in the middle of the lake, and the outlet) using gill nets. The standing stock was analyzed using Leslie method. Results shown that the initial population (No) of the fish was 315 kg and the final population (Nt) was 301 kg and the exploitation level was 8%. The water quality parameter shown that temperature was 27-28oc, clarity 6395 cm, pH = 6 and dissolved oxygen was 5.32–5.40 mg/L. Data obtained indicate the water quality in the Lubuk Siam Lake is good and it is able to support the life of O. hasselti.

Seagrass is present in the Genting Beach. During the low tide, however, propeler of fishermen ship damage the seagrass habitat in general. To understand the types and density of seagrass in Genting Beach, a study has been conducted in April – June 2018. There were 3 sampling points, in the river mouth of the Genting River (SP I), in the shipping line (SP II), and in the mangrove area (SP III). Seagrass were taken from 3 quadrants (1x1 m) in each sampling point. Sampling were conducted once. The seagrass was then identified. Results shown that there was one type of seagrass species, namely Enhalus acoroides. Seagrass density range from 17.99 – 90.78 organism/m2 and the coverage of seagrass was around 3.04% – 14.39%, water temperature was 31.66 - 32ºC, salinity 32‰, pH 8, clarity 0.26 – 0.33 m, current flow 0.37 – 0.42 m/s, sandy mud substrate, nitrate 0.033 – 0.075 mg/L, phosphate 0.035 – 0.104 mg/L and organic material was 20.50 – 27.57%. The objective of the present study was to examine the length-weight relationships and condition factors of snapper Lutjanus russellii, ponyfish Aurigequula fasciata and white-spotted spinefoot Siganus canaliculatus harvested from Ulelhee Bay, Banda Aceh City, Indonesia. These species are the predominant fishes caught by traditional beach trawl in Ulelhee Bay, Banda Aceh City, Indonesia. The sampling was conducted for three months from April to June 2015 at one-week interval. A total of 900 fish samples (300 individuals for each species) were measured for the total length and body weight. The length-weight relationships were calculated using Linear Allometric Model (LAM), while the relative weights (Wr) and Fulton's condition (K) factors were calculated to assess the condition of the fish samples. The results showed that the b value of 3.04 in snapper indicates isometric growth pattern, while ponyfish and white-spotted spinefoot fish had the b values of 1.41 and 1.75, respectively, and these species display an allometric growth pattern. The average Fulton's condition factor (K) of snapper was 3.01 for male and 2.49 for female; female ponyfish has the K value of 2.92 and 2.92 for male. In addition, the average K value of white-spotted spinefoot was 2.61 and 2.59 for female and male, respectively. The relative weight condition factor ranges from 58.73 to 166.09 for snapper, from 70.55 to 129.65 for ponyfish, and from 71.63 to 133.53 for white-spotted spinefoot. In general, the relative weight condition factors tendedto be 100. It is concluded that snapper has isometric growth pattern, while ponyfish and white-spotted spinefoot display the negative allometric growth pattern. The condition factors are in excellent condition and indicate a balance of prey and predator.

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada sungai Kampar di bagian hilir Bendungan PLTA Kotopanjang mulai dari Rantau Berangin hingga Danau Bingkuang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas ikan di hilir bendungan. Suhu air selama penelitian berkisar antara 26-27oC, DHL 41-47,50umhos/cm, Turbiditas 7,4 – 9,3 NTU, Kecerahan 90 – 105 cm, oksigen terlarut 6,57-7,20 ppm, karbondioksida 4,0-4,30 ppm dan pH 6 – 6,5. Komposisi ikan yang ditemukan terdiri dari 14 famili yang tersusun dalam 49 jenis ikan yaitu famili Cyprinidae, Cobitidae, Clariidae, Bagridae, Siluridae, Pangasiidae, Notoperidae, Helostomatidae, Mastacembelidae, Ophicephalidae, Osphronemidae, Pristolepididae, Belonteiidae, dan Anabantidae. Komposisi ikan terbesar dari famili Cypdnidae yaitu 30 jenis selanjutnya dari famili Bagridae yaitu 3 jenis. Indeks kekayaan jenis dan keragaman (diversitas) menunjukkan bahwa struktur komunitas ikan tergolong sedang dan belum terlihat pengaruh bendungan PLTA Kotopanjang terhadap komposisi dan struktur komunitas ikan. Struktur komunitas ikan di Sungai Kampar pada bagian hilir bendungan PLTA Kotopanjang dipengaruhi oleh faktor oksigen terlarut.

This research was conducted from 9 until 20 October 2006 at Pelabuhanratu port. The research goal is to know the various fishing gear, trip, production, sustainable yield, utilization level of ribbon fish that were landed at Pelabuhanratu port and to know amount of fishing instrument at Pelabuhanratu. Statistic data were obtained from the port and analyzed by a surplus production models (Schaefer).  Fishing gear of ribbon fish were hand line, seine net, and lift net. Maximum sustainable yield (MSY) with three fishing gear are 318.7 tons and maximum effort (fopt) are 1,023,322 trips. Ribbon fish utilization level about 5.75% - 88.46% with average/year is 50.23% (growth). Effort level about 24.61% - 201.48% with average/year is 50.68% .

The fish from both population shown similar reproductive pattern, there are mature males and females in April and there is no fish caught in May due to reproductive purposes migration. The reproductive activity of the upstream fish is unsucceed as there is no single small fish found. The rarity and the lack of small fish in the upstream population is strongly related to the failure of reproduction due to the construction of the Koto Panjang Dam. Introduction. Kampar River is one of big rivers in the Riau Province, Indonesia. In 1996, a reservoir was built in the river flow and it was designed for a water power plant (PLN 2006). The construction of the dam changed the topography of the river and as a consequence, it changes the water mass and it leads to change the biotic and abiotic characteristics in both sides, in the streams and in the reservoir as well (Mulia 2006). Physically, the reservoir has cut off the river flow, and makes the water flow to the turbine path. The water flow in the reservoir is only opened when the water volume was higher than the normal level (PLN 2006). The construction of 90 m height dam wall, however, has completely blocked any access from the downstream side, causing the separation of aquatic organism populations in the downstream and upstream of the dam. A similar case was also present as there is dam construction in the Parana River, Argentina (Araya et al 2005). Before the construction of the dam, there was a fish migration phenomenon. Local people stated that after the rainy season there were many types of fish fingerlings migrating from the downstream to the upstream area of the river. Fishermen from villages around the river stated that types of fingerlings present in the migration group were lelan (Diplocheilichthys pleurotaenia), paweh (Osteochilus sp.) kapiek (Puntius schwanenfeldii), pantau (Rasbora sp.), and bunga air (Clupeichthys goniognathus). As the dam was constructed, the fish migratory activities must be obstructed. The fish from the upstream may not be able to go to the downstream as the only water channel to the river below is the turbine path that flown the water fastly, up to 384 m 3 s-1. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan keragaan sumberdaya pesisir dan pulau-pulau kecil dan analisis kecenderungan dampak penambangan pasir laut serta memberikan arahan pemanfaatan dan zona preservasi di Kabupaten Kepulauan Riau. Penelitian berlangsung dari bulan Oktober – Desember 2003. Metode penelitian mengunakan metode survei dan analisis interprestasi citra satelit landsat ETM7. Potensi Ekosistem Mangrove seluas 24.091,03 ha, Ekosistem padang lamun seluas 7.548,66 ha, Ekosistem Terumbu Karang seluas 15.291,42 ha. Kondisi ekosistem mangrove dari sedang hingga baik, padang lamun keadaan sedang – baik serta terumbu karang dengan kondisi rusak hingga baik. Produksi perikanan tangkap mencapai 88.864,3 ton pada tahun 2002. Hasil analisis overlay kedudukan kuasa pertambangan (KP) dengan areal penangkapan, kawasan lindung dan kawasan budidaya perikanan terdapat 18 unit KP yaitu 12 KP pada daerah penangkapan tradisional (5-10 GT; <6 mil) dan 6 KP pada kawasan Lindung.

Aktivitas perikanan di sekitar kawasan P. Jemur Kabupaten Rokan Hilir Provinsi termasuk yang tinggi serta mempunyai potensi dikembangkan menjadi objek wisata sehingga dapat menggangu aktivitas penyu hijau. Untuk itu diperlukan model pengelolaan kawasan konservasi penyu di P. Jemur Kabupaten Rokan Hilir. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif dan penyusunan model dilakukan dengan diskusi bersama stakeholder. Habitat teristerial di P. Jemur yaitu suhu udara 28 - 29 oC, Suhu pasir 24,5 – 28 oC, kelembaban tanah 5 – 6 %, kecepatan angin 2,5 – 3,5 m/det dan tingkat kebisingan 52 – 55 dBA, pH tanah 6,4 – 6,5, fraksi pasir termasuk medium sand, jumlah sarang 5 – 8 buah dan luas areal sarang 5.000 – 6.000 m2. Diameter saran 30 – 40 cm, kedalam 80 – 100 cm. Model pengelolaan kawasan adalah keterpaduan dan program yang dapat dilaksanakan yaitu pengelolaan tataguna lahan, pengendalian kualitas air, pelarangan eksploitasi telur penyu, penangkaran penyu, peningkatan kapasitas kelembagaan dan kesadaran dan peran serta masyarakat.

The aim of the current study was to assess the demersal fish and shrimp stocks in Mallaca Strait, especially within the area of Bengkalis District, hence determining the total allowable catch (TAC) in the area regarding the resources in concern. We uses surplus production methods to analyze data collected through field surveys in Bengkalis, and surroundings of Bengkalis island, Asam straits, ransang island, Halang island, panipahan island and jemur island. Demersal fish catch range of the area was 3,236.90-13,247.95 tonnes with catch effort range of 20,576 – 93,414 units, whereas shrimp catch range was 5,572,00-13,247.95 tonnes with catch effort range of 364-509 units. As fish demersal Maximum sustainable yields reached 13,497,17 tonnes yr-1, the estimated TAC was 10,794,54 tonnes yr-1, coresponding to a maximum catch effort of 45,256 units. Shrimp stock (MSY) was 30,835,75 and TAC was 24,667,80 tonnes yr-1, coresponding to catch effort of 293 units.

This study has been conducted to determine the most feasible site for building breeding and nursery plant of Scylla serrata in Indragiri Hilir District, Riau. Analysis has been done by scoring the accessibility, topography, land status, water quality, available, infrastructures (especially electricity network), perceiption of local people, security, economic feasibility and landuse system of six sites. The most ideal site is situated in the Tanjung Baru (Tanah Merah Subdistrict). The results also suggested that the plant building in the area should be timely implemented to enhance local economic development.

ABSTRAK Sumber daya perikanan dapat dimanfaatkan secara berkelanjutan dengan tidak melebihi kapasitas untuk memulihkan dirinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan sumber daya perikanan dalam wilayah pengelolaan Kawasan Konservasi Laut Daerah (KKLD) Kabupaten Lingga yang meliputi biofisik, kondisi dan potensi perikanan. Kedalaman perairan berkisar antara 0,5 – 52 m, kecepatan arus rata-rata 20-80 cm/s dengan arah arus pasang 135-180 o dadan arah arus surut 316=355 o. Kecerahan air antara 3 – 7 m, pH antara 8,1 – 8,3, Oksigen terlarut antara 4,16 – 8,3 ppm, salinitas 27,9 – 31,2 0 /00. Jumlah Rumah tangga Perikanan 9.697, armada penangkapan ikan berupa perahu/sampan dan perahu motor/pompong, Potensi Perikanan Tangkap lebih kurang 275.371,43 ton per tahun.

ABSTRAK Usaha perlindungan kawasan habitat gonggong dan pengaturan eksploitasinya perlu dilakukan. Penelitian dilakukan pada KKLD Kabupaten Lingga, Provinsi Kepulauan Riau, Indonesia pada bulan Juni – September 2010. Adapun Faktor lingkungan yaitu fluktuasi pasang surut 1,2 – 1,5 m, Kedalaman perairan 4,2 – 6,0 m, Suhu 26,0 – 28,2 o C, Kecerahan air 4,3 – 5,0 m, Kecepatan arus 0,4 m/detik, Oksigen terlarut 5,1 – 7,0 mg/l. Kondisi salinitas yaitu sebesar 35,0 o /oo dan pH 8,11 – 8,41 dan substrat pasir berlumpur. Jenis lamun yang ditemui Enhalus acoroides dengan kerapatan rata-rata 7,23 – 16,22%. Kelimpahan siput gonggong 0,2 – 1,9 individu/m 2 , berat 13,7 – 47,6 gr, Panjang (L) 49 – 78 mm, dan Ketebalan bibir luar (OL) 1 – 6 mm. Hubungan panjang dan berat Y = 3,086 e 0,033X. Hasil tangkapan siput gonggong berkisar antara 10 – 30 kg/orang. Produksi hasil tangkapan tersebut mencapai kisaran 50 – 600 kg per hari. Untuk rencana usulan kawasan konservasi gonggong setelah melalui analisis matrik kesesuaian dan plotting pada peta Desa Limbung dan Desa Linau didapatkan yaitu Desa Limbung seluas 9,599 ha dan Desa Linau seluas 0,930 ha.
