Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui dan memahami manajemen pemupukan tanaman menghasilkan kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) berdasarkan fungsi manajemen dan mendeskripsikan fenomena-fenomena yang terjadi di Lapangan. Penelitian dilakukan di Afdeling I kebun Tanah Raja PT Bakrie Sumatera Plantation (BSP) pada bulan April – Juli 2020. Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TKKS) merupakan limbah pabrik kelapa sawit yang jumlahnya sangat melimpah. Pada setiap ton tandan kosong kelapa sawit mengandung unsur hara 1,5% N, 0,5% P, 7,3% K, dan 0,9% Mg yang dapat digunakan sebagai pupuk pengganti tanaman kelapa sawit.     Harvest is one of determining factors to produce quality Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB). Quality FFB is determining factors for  Free Fatty Acids (FFA) and yield of the resulting oil. To produce good CPO potential, synergy is needed between the plantation part and the palm oil mill part. The research method used a descriptive method, namely to explain the harvest system and its relation to the quality of oil palm fruit.     Tanaman kelapa sawit merupakan komoditi ekspor Indonesia. Tingginya permintaan kelapa sawit menyebabkan ekpansi budidaya kelapa sawit ke dataran tinggi. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi kelapa sawit. Penelitian dilakukan di kebun Bah Birong Ulu PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV dengan metode penelitian menggunakan regresi linier berganda dan data diolah menggunakan SPSS 20. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian merupakan data time series (2014-2018) dengan variabel pengamatan yaitu produksi kelapa sawit, pupuk, umur tanaman, jumlah tenaga kerja dan menggunaan herbisida. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Secara serampak faktor pupuk, umur tanaman, tenaga kerja dan herbisida berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi kelapa sawit dengan nilai f-hitung (310,535) > t-tabel (3,38) dengan nilai signifikansi 0,00 t-tabel (2,012) dengan nilai signifikansi 0,00 t-tabel (2,012) dengan nilai signifikansi 0,00 α (0,05).

    Secara umum, persyaratan untuk menanam kelapa sawit pada ketinggian   0-400 m di atas permukaan laut. Tingginya permintaan Minyak Sawit Mentah di pasar internasional telah menyebabkan pemerintah memperluas perkebunan kelapa sawit ke ketinggian tinggi. Budidaya kelapa sawit di dataran tinggi akan mempengaruhi tingkat produksi dan produktivitas. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Perkebunan Bah Birong Ulu PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV dari Januari hingga September 2019. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) produktivitas kelapa sawit tertinggi pada 2017 adalah 1.280 ton/ha/tahun dan produktivitas terendah pada 2015 adalah 1.071 ton/ha/tahun. (2) Realisasi produksi untuk TBS kelapa sawit dan RJT lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan potensi produksi. Padahal realisasi produksi untuk RBT lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan potensi produksi.

    Wheel Tractor merupakan alat pengangkutan Tandan Buah Segar(TBS) kelapa sawit di lahan bertofograpi berbukit dan rendah dengan kondisi tanah yang labil.Pemilihan dan pemeliharaan alat penangkutan yang tepat berpengaruh terhadap efisiensi dalam penggunaan biaya perusahaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode observasi dan metode deskrpitif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk kegiatan pengangkutan dengan menggunakan Whell tractor dari tahun 2014 sampai dengan tahun 2016 adalah Rp1.198.691.580.Biaya pengangkutan TBS yang tertinggi pada areal berbukit dan rendah adalah pada tahun 2015 dengan harga Rp 30,00/Kg TBS di lahan yang berbukit dan Rp 26,00/Kg TBS dilahan yang rendah.Dapat diketahui kegiatan pengangkutan TBS kelapa sawit di kebun Tanjung Keliling dengan menggunakan Whell tractor sangat efektif dan efisien, karena mampu mengangkut hasil produksi tanpa ada faktor pembatas seperti curah hujan yang tinggi, lahan yang bertofograpi berbukit dan bertofograpi rendah dan tingkat kerusakan jalan yang tinggi, sehingga kegiatan pengangkutan TBS kelapa sawit dengan menggunakan Whell tractor mampu meminimalisir kerugian dan menghasilkan keuntungan yang maksimal bagi perusahaan. Abstract Wheel Tractor is a means of transporting Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) of oil palm on hilly terrain with low volatile soil conditions. The selection and maintenance of appropriate transportation equipment affects efficiency in the use of company costs. The research method used is the observation method and descriptive method. The results showed that the costs incurred for transportation activities using Whell tractor from 2014 to 2016 were Rp1,198,691,580. The highest transportation costs for FFB in hilly and low areas were in 2015 at a price of Rp. 30.00 / kg TBS on hilly land and Rp. 26.00 / Kg TBS in low land. It can be seen that the transport of oil palm FFB in Tanjung Keliling plantation using Whell tractor is very effective and efficient, because it is able to transport production without any limiting factors such as rainfall high, hilly terrain with low plot and low level of road damage, so the activity of transporting oil palm FFB using Whell tractor can minimize losses and generate maximum profits for the company.
