In article are considered monuments of a final stage of culture of the Pskov long barrows. It is a series of the burial places dated IX-X centuries for which the funeral ceremonialism traditional for given culture and a set of things of already old russian shape are characteristic.

In article the structure of barrows of culture of the Pskov long barrows, and also structure of burial grounds of this culture is analyzed. In total within the limits of work data about the device approximately 470 barrows have been generalised.
Basic elements from which barrows gathered are allocated, rules of a combination of these elements are defined. The arrangement of burials in barrows and near to them is considered.
Also the structure of several burial grounds is analysed.
It is possible to assert, that in constructions of barrows and necropolises of culture of the Pskov long barrows there are laws which can be defined and studied.

Local versions of the culture of Pskov long barrows

The article analyzes the geographic distribution of the grave finds in the culture of Pskov long barrows. There are two main areas: the eastern and the western. The eastern region is the river basins of Msta and Pola, and the upper reaches of the Volga. The western region includes the coast of Lake Peipsi and the basins of the Velikaya,  Plyussa and Luga, as well as a part of the upper reaches of the Western Dvina. For each area has its own features in the material. There were also the southern area it takes a basin of the Dvina and watershed of the rivers Dvina and Lovat. The southern area has been insufficiently studied, there are similarities with the western and with  the eastern areas. Dedicated to the subjects cultural areas coincide with the local ceramic collections  for  the culture of Pskov long barrows.

A sopka-mound near the village of Vyndin Ostrov. The results of additional excavations.
This paper presents the resultsof rescue excavations of 2006 of the remains of a sopka-type barrow near the village of Vyndin Ostrov in the lower reaches of the Volkhov River. The excavations have yielded information for reconstruction of the main elements of the internal structure of the mound and the technique of its consruction. The barrow investigated belongs to type I of sopka-barrows according to V. Petrenko which are dated presumably to the 9th - 10th century. Beneath the mound of the sopka, the remains of several settlements were revealed.

n article the "long" chronology of culture of the Pskov long barrows is proved. The chronology is based on dates of things and data of the radiocarbon analysis.
It is possible to allocate 3 periods of development of culture. The period I (late V – the middle of VI century) is allocated in subjects the late roman time or the early migration period; it is the time of formation of culture of the Pskov long barrows. The period II (the middle of VI century – a boundary VIII / IX centuries) is the time of consecutive development of culture. It can be divided into 2 phases: IIА (second half VI –VII century) and IIВ (VIII century). The period III (IX century – the beginning of XI century) - the culture ending, it is allocated on presence of Old Russian things.
