Based on the research that is taking place in Russian schools and museums, the research team has developed a specific instructional guide. The guide is aimed to enhance collaboration between schools and museums when planning a single or a series of a museum’s visits. Firstly, the research team has created a social profile to provide a picture of students’ interests and cognitive characteristics. The profile illustrates the main tendencies of a group of students that are going to visit a museum to study a certain subject. Secondly, an educator and a curator discuss three specific areas to define the content of a museum visit based on the educational purposes. Finally, a final outline of a museum visit has to be created as a shared product for both educators and curators. The outline embraces all peculiarities of a museum visit, such as museum content, educational goals, students’ cognitive characteristics, and possibilities of their engagement in the content. The instructional guide is a part of the system that provides integration of school curricula with a museum’s content in the context of specific educational goals. The entire system of the educational strategies enhances collaborative work when school educators and museum curators will reach the consensus of their efforts. Key words: museum education, school curriculum, museum visit, educational strategies, instructions, collaborative work

Modern life demands originality in all possible ways, from being creative on a job interview to expressing yourself in projects. However, students spend most of their study time engaged in formal activities, training critical thinking, reasoning, explaining, and other logical activities that require application of regulated principles. ESL students experience the same problems plus study a foreign language, which they have to perform successfully. Despite strong intellectual abilities to develop their language skills, ESL students struggle when encountered creative assignments, such as creative writing, expanding new ideas, making reports based on their own studies, etc. The question is where educators could find a possibility to improve ESL students’ creative abilities without adding more subjects to the curriculum. It is achievable when creative challenges are inserted into a regular class time. In the paper, different principles and strategies how develop creative skills in the ESL classroom are considered. The author considers a number of resources with great promise for creative tasks, such as paintings, museum resources, fiction, modern media, products of visual culture, and the dialogue of cultures are natural ways to enhance students’ creativity. The research activities of applying these resources involve ESL students who study English for academic and specific purposes at the university level. A creative component approach (CCA) proposed in the paper incorporated into the curriculum helps the students feel more comfortable in dealing with different language assignments. The CCA includes the variety of imaginative tasks that could be useful in modern classrooms, e.g. “crazy” writing, describing personal experience, generating questions, etc. Although this approach uses well-known tasks, being intentionally and persistently used, it enhances students’ self-awareness of being able to produce something original and unique in English. The CCA expands boundaries of academic assessment and critical evaluation.

In the rapidly changing world of the internet environment and social media expansion, the role of museum education has been revised and reformed to respond to the new digital and interconnected environment. In addition to academic publications, museum activities, and web and video materials, modern museums are developing new ways to meet current demands, including interactive exhibitions, integration with other disciplines, and virtual expositions. Museum professionals are encountering unprecedented challenges in engaging a diverse audience in vital and meaningful learning experiences. Executing new tasks in the achievement of the museum’s education mission takes interdepartmental teamwork and use of new technologies. It also requires new approaches to rigorous planning, implementation, and assessment. New terminology and strategies have been developed to substantiate new approaches to museums’ activities and reflect what is transpiring in modern museum studies and educational experiments. The focus is on integrative and communicative approaches rather than preservation of collections of artifacts. Modern museum curators are actively engaging in dialogue with educational practitioners and specialists at conferences, in academic publications, and through other forums. Museum education is evolving from a source of sacred knowledge to an open source for diversity and personal development.

The article considers didactic materials for teaching English at a non-linguistic university, the Russian University of Transport (MIIT). In order to implement the "Mono-language" program introduced at the university as a part of students’ professional competence, educational materials for various levels of English language proficiency were designed within the university’s curriculum. A specific standpoint of the materials is a range of the same cross-related topics studied by students of different language levels. Based on the sociolinguistic approach to foreign language acquisition, the authors formulated the principles of making teaching materials: the principle of sociolinguistic usefulness in certain models of application and topics to study; and the principle of students’ professional development within the scope of the specialty and curriculum. The article discusses the theoretical and methodical bases of material development as well as provides examples that illustrate the application of formulated principles.

Nowadays, educational curriculum exists in the space of contradictions. From the one hand, it has all the traditions and teaching experience created by ages of Pedagogy. From the other hand, it is constantly changing because of the world's swings: technology, modern generations, immigration processes, pandemics, distant learning, and so on. The list is endless. Each area of education is trying to adjust its basic theoretical principles to the modern circumstances. It is happening in the sphere of teaching languages. The paper shares the recent experience of creating a new module-based curriculum with a specific fundamental principle. It takes place at the Center of Continuing Education of the Institute of Foreign Languages of People's Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) where Cultural Studies are the core of the entire curriculum. Having this subject as the fundamental principle altogether with using the latest educational methodical advancements, the team created a three-year course to introduce Russian language through the perspective of Russian Culture and Russian modern life. All the year-to-year courses are interconnected by language and subject materials. In the paper, examples of the curriculum are considered from structural and practical points of view.

Theoretical Explorations Volume Editor: Ilaria Riccioni Volume 1 of Theater(s) and Public Sphere in a Global and Digital Society inquires the fundamental contribution that artistic and cultural forms bring to social dynamics and how these can consolidate cohabitation and create meaningfulness, in addition to ful lling economic and regulatory needs. In Russia, historical reenactment as a hobby activity is widely spread in the
country. It exists in the form of various social institutions and groups. It could
be a social club that involves the local people of a city or a village. It could be a
large association that combines smaller branches under one head committee,
as on the official website Rosrecon (https://xn--e1akjbcibh.xn--p1ai/). Recently,
since the start of the pandemic, virtual groups have become popular and have
connected people from different locations, often far from each other (http://
livinghistory.ru/forum/52-katalog-klubov/). These groups and clubs have the
traditional international structure of vocational organizations when people

with the same interests gather to reenact events from the past. The associa-
tions conventionally involve groups of adults, and children actively participate

with their older relatives. School students and youth are usually involved in

reenactment. This chapter discusses several points about historical reenact-
ment in Russian education as developed in the last decades. The first is the

nature and definition of historical reenactment in modern Russian education.
The second is the current state of the method in schools, its structure, and
the teacher’s role in the process of applying school content to the interactive
engagement. The third is a case study of a historic reenactment which took
place in a middle school, with a description of the stages of preparation and
execution, with illustrations, and a description of the aftermath of the lesson
for the students who participated in it.
