The study aimed to explore the teachers' attitude toward teaching profession at secondary school level. The sample comprised of 736 (428 male and 308 female) Secondary School Teachers (SSTs) selected from administrative division of Sahiwal, Pakistan. Attitude Scale towards Teaching Profession (ASTTP) developed by Dr. Malswami (2015) was adapted from the kind permission of author. ASTTP was comprised of 36 closed-ended statements. Means and standard deviations were computed to explore the attitude toward teaching profession. T-test and one-way ANOVA were applied to calculate the difference in attitude of teachers on the basis of gender, groups (science & arts), and their teaching experience. Results showed that the attitude of secondary school teachers was positive toward teaching profession. While, male SSTs showed a better attitude than female. It was found that in terms of group, arts teachers showed higher positive attitude toward the teaching profession in comparison to science teachers. Furthermore, it was concluded that SSTs having teaching experience of 0-5 years and 16 years have more favorable positive attitude toward teaching profession than other groups

Metacognitive skills are amongst the striking concept since a couple of decades, when Flavell, (1979) first introduced it. This concept is multidimensional in nature. Metacognition is a higher-order thinking skill. Therefore, the main purpose of this study was to assess metacognitive awareness in prospective teachers and to find out how much our teacher training institutions are successfully contributing to developing such awareness in prospective teachers. This study is descriptive in nature. It is a situational analysis for the concept of metacognition in the prevailing teacher education system by doing co-relational and cross-sectional study. The instrument of this study is the metacognitive awareness inventory (MAI) developed by the Schraw and Dennison (1994). The validity and reliably of this instrument in the Pakistani context were ensured. Independent samples t-test and Pearson correlation coefficient (r) were used. Findings of the study showed positively strong and significant relationship between prospective teachers' metacognitive knowledge and metacognitive self-regulatory skills in teacher training institutions, but it was also revealed from the results that there was a negatively weak relationship between prospective teachers' academic achievement (GPA) with their metacognitive knowledge and metacognitive regulatory skills. Moreover, there was an insignificant difference in prospective teachers' metacognitive knowledge and metacognitive self-regulatory skills in teachers training institutions based on demographic variables (i.e. age, gender, and university type).

The study aims to explore postgraduate research students expectations from their thesis supervisors in online postgraduate programs. Particularly it aimed to study their perceptions of the role of thesis supervisor in their postgraduate research work. The study followed survey research design. This research explores the psychoanalytical aspects of the lives of South Asian immigrant characters in the novel Brick Lane (2003). The novel highlights the theme of migration, describing the shock of arrival, the process of settlement, and the subsequent problems involved in the transition from one country to another, as well as from a rural environment to an urban. This research explores cultural issues related to migrant diaspora living in London. The novel constructs a detailed exploration of the psychological responses of particular individuals to the traumas of migration and marginalization, alongside an investigation of the psychological roots of the current conflicts between different ethnic and religious groups. There are some specific trends and regularities of behavioral patterns in individuals which determine their personality traits. This study was aimed to determine the impact of big five personality traits on academic achievement of prospective teachers. A quantitative study was conducted by using the casual comparative research design. A sample of 759 prospective teachers was selected through proportionate stratified random sampling technique from two public universities. Big Five personality traits inventory (BFI) was adopted to collect data. Data was analyzed by applying inferential statistics. The study was determined to find the teachers' practices in the implementation of the ECCE curriculum in public schools. The objective of the study was to find out the teachers' practices in the implementation of the ECCE curriculum in public schools. All the ECCE teachers in public schools formed the population of the study. The 20 teachers were observed through the purposive sampling technique. The data was collected by using the ECCE teachers' practices observation protocol in the implementation of the ECCE curriculum. The qualitative data was analyzed through thematic analysis. The data represents that the teachers' practices in ECCE are knowledge, learning environment, instructional strategies, assessment, individualized attention and teacher-parent relation. This study discovers the effect of cooperative learning (CL) on students’ achievement and motivation toward computer science at secondary level. Nonequivalent control group design of Quasi-Experimental Research method was used. Two intact groups i.e. thirty students each, were selected as the sample of the study. Students Team Achievement Division (STAD) method of CL was applied on the experimental group while traditional method (lecture) of teaching was used for control group. Pre-test and post-test were conducted respectively by using teacher made test in computer science.
