A lattice-gas model is developed which includes both direct electronic and indirect elastic interactions between hydrogen atoms. A theory of the phase-change behavior of hydrogen in metals containing substitutional impurities is described. A lattice-gas model is developed which includes both direct electronic and indirect elastic interactions between hydrogen atoms.
