Definitions
- the present invention relates to a makeup composition for the lips.
- Lip care and/or makeup products intended to beautify, protect and/or color the lips are widely used.
- make-up products for the lips are known, in liquid, semi-fluid or solid (stick) form, for a glossy deposit or a matte deposit on the lips and having good color-holding properties.
- volatile oils, fillers and pigments are generally used, but it is known that increasing the total pigment content, in particular beyond 8% to 10% by weight of pigments can impact the stability of the composition and the comfort on application; the deposit of the film can have an inhomogeneous and drying appearance on the lips.
- the present invention makes it possible to meet these needs.
- the Applicant has in fact developed a composition comprising a total pigment content greater than or equal to 10% by weight of the composition and an organopolysiloxane elastomer conveyed in a first oil, in an oily phase containing at least one apolar oil and a wax polar.
- the inventors obtained a composition exhibiting very good stability despite the high content of pigments and the incompatibility of non-polar oil with polar wax, with the desired properties of coverage, mattness, comfort and hydration on application with a velvety deposit.
- the invention relates, according to a first aspect, to a cosmetic composition

- Yellow 5 Yellow 6, Blue 1, Green 5, Green 3, Green 6, Orange 4, Red 4, Red 21, Red 22, Red 27, Red 28, Red 33, Red 40 , cochineal carmine (Cl 15850, Cl 75470).
- fat-soluble dyes are Sudan Red, D&C Red 17, D&C Green 6, Beta-Carotene, Sudan Brown, D&C Yellow 11, D&C Violet 2, D&C Orange 5, Quinoline Yellow, Annatto .
- composition of the invention is a makeup composition for keratin materials, in particular a makeup composition for the lips.
- composition of the invention is generally a solid composition, as defined previously.
- composition for the lips mention may in particular be made of a lip stick, a lip contour pencil, or a lip balm.
- it will be a solid makeup composition for the lips, in particular a stick or lipstick.
- the invention also relates to a cosmetic process for making up the lips, comprising the application of a composition according to the invention.
- composition applied to the lips is preferably a solid makeup composition for the lips, in particular a stick or lipstick.
- the process according to the invention is in particular a process for making up the lips, intended to deposit on said lips a comfortable, matte and non-drying film on the lips, with good color retention.
- the invention will be illustrated by the following non-limiting examples. The percentages are expressed as percentage by weight relative to the total weight of the composition, unless otherwise indicated.
- Example 1 Effect of the presence of a polar wax in the composition of the invention
- compositions The processing of said compositions was evaluated, as well as the properties of stability of the composition and of sensoriality.
- compositions are prepared according to the following protocol: the silicone elastomer conveyed in an oil (Dowsil 9241 EL) and the Dimethicone 100cs are mixed with stirring at 95° C.; when the mixture is homogeneous, the polyethylene and candelilla waxes are incorporated; the pigment paste comprising the pigments, the hydrogenated polydecene and the lecithin is added to the mixture prepared above when the waxes are melted, then the powders are sprinkled (fillers: silica shells, sunsphere H33 and KSP 100) with stirring; - the mixture at a temperature above 95°C is poured into a mould.
- Lipsticks are evaluated on several criteria:
- Organoleptic characteristics sensoriality, color: the compositions are sensorially tested for their properties of comfort, mattness and coverage.
- - Physico-chemical characteristics hardness
- breakage test the physico-chemical measurements make it possible to ensure the possible shaping of the composition of the invention, the behavior of the stick during application and its breakage.
- the grapes are placed at 20°C for 24 hours. They are then cut 1cm from the cup using a wire to measure the hardness of the stick. The operation is performed three times in order to perform an average.
- the hardness allows us to predict the behavior of the stick on release, breakage and application.
- For the hardness measurement is used a texturometer, the TAXT Plus and the Exponent software.
- the value obtained, expressed in gram force (Gf) must be between 140 and 190.
- Stability The formulas are followed in different ovens as detailed below to reproduce the life of a product. These accelerated aging tests allow us to ensure that the product is stable over time. We can thus confirm the durability of the product under normal conditions of use and storage. In practice, the stability of the sticks is observed after passing through different ovens: humidity, alternation, 4°C and 45°C. The parts are stabilized 24 hours after their manufacture. The samples are observed after a defined time at each oven 24 hours, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months. It is observed the absence of color drift, the absence of drop, exudation and changes in the appearance of the grape: shine, dullness.
- This composition makes it possible to obtain a matte stick with high coverage, having a sufficiently "rigid” structure to have an unguided and comfortable structure (no tightness over time).
- 'unguided structure' we mean a formulation for application with the grape (lipstick tube) presenting outside the mechanism.
- Example 2 Velvet effect matte lipstick [Table 2] The composition is stable. After application to the lips, a comfortable deposit is obtained, with good coverage, matte and non-drying, with a velvety appearance
- Example 3 Matte lipstick [Table 3]
- composition is stable. After application to the lips, a comfortable deposit is obtained, with good coverage, matte and non-drying, with a velvety appearance.
