(1)本発明によれば、コレステロールを含む新規な水中油型乳化組成物が提供される。水中油型乳化組成物は、化粧料、医薬部外品、医薬品など(例えば、化粧料や皮膚外用剤)として好適に使用され得る。
(2)保存安定性に優れる水中油型乳化組成物が提供される。好ましい態様において、水中油型乳化組成物は長期の保存安定性を有する。
(3)低温における溶質の析出の抑制、低温における粘度変化の抑制、室温での粘度変化の抑制、高温での相分離の抑制などの良好な保存安定性を有する水中油型組成物が得られる。
本発明の一形態の水中油型(O/W)乳化組成物(以下、単に「乳化組成物」ともいう)は、(a1)コレステロール、(a2)高級アルコール、および(a3)炭化水素を含む油性成分と、(b1)ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルを含む、界面活性剤と、水性成分とを含む。一実施形態の水中油型乳化組成物は、前記(a1)成分の含有量は、油性成分の全質量の0.7~14質量%であり、前記(b1)成分(ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル)の含有量は、乳化組成物の全質量の0.6~2.8質量%である。
以下、本発明の水中油型乳化組成物における各構成要素について説明する。
本発明の一実施形態の水中油型乳化組成物における油相添加成分は、油性成分(A成分)と、界面活性剤(油相添加界面活性剤)(B成分)と、を含む。
本明細書において、油性成分とは、化粧料の分野で一般に油性成分として使用される成分を意味する。例えば、25℃における水への溶解度が0.1質量%未満(1g/L未満)のものをいう。本発明における油性成分(A成分)としては、(a1)コレステロール、(a2)高級アルコール、および(a3)炭化水素、さらに、必要に応じて添加される、(a4)エステル油などの追加の油性成分が挙げられる。
[(a1)コレステロール]
本発明における水中油型乳化組成物に含まれるコレステロールは、乳化組成物の全質量の0.1~2質量%であることが好ましく、より好ましくは0.2~2質量%であり、さらに好ましくは0.3~1.7質量%であり、一層好ましくは0.4~1.3質量%であり、特に好ましくは0.4~1.0質量%である。また、コレステロールは、油性成分の全質量の0.7~14質量%であり、油性成分中の1.4~14質量%の範囲であることが好ましく、油性成分中の2~12質量%の範囲であることがより好ましく、油性成分中の3~12質量%の範囲であることがさらに好ましく、一層好ましくは3~9質量%の範囲であり、特に好ましくは3~8質量%の範囲である。
本発明における水中油型乳化組成物に含まれるコレステロールの含有量が、乳化組成物全体中の0.1~2質量%、または、油性成分の全質量の0.7~14質量%であれば、肌のバリア機能を高め、肌内部からの水分蒸散を抑えて、保湿力を高めるなどのスキンケア効果を有し得る。
高級アルコールとしては、例えば、炭素数12~22の高級アルコールを含むことが好ましく、より好ましくは炭素数14~22、さらに好ましくは炭素数16~22の高級アルコールを含む。
高級アルコールとしては直鎖状のものが好ましく、より好ましくは、直鎖状の炭素数12~22(より好ましくは炭素数14~22、さらに好ましくは炭素数16~22)の高級アルコールである。具体的には、セチルアルコール、ステアリルアルコール、セトステアリルアルコール、ベヘニルアルコール、等が挙げられる。この中でも、安定性または安全性の点から、ベヘニルアルコールを含むことがより好ましい。高級アルコールは、1種単独で用いてもよく、2種以上組み合わせて用いてもよい。
水中油型乳化組成物に高級アルコールが含まれていれば、高温の際に粘度を保つことができ高温安定性が良好となる。
本発明における水中油型乳化組成物に含まれる高級アルコールが上記範囲であれば、高温安定性および低温安定性の観点からバランスがよく、乳化組成物の安定性が向上する。
本発明における水中油型乳化組成物に含まれる炭化水素としては、特に制限されず、例えば、流動パラフィン、スクワラン、α-オレフィンオリゴマー、ワセリン、マイクロクリスタリンワックス、などが例示できる。炭化水素は、1種単独で用いてもよく、2種以上組み合わせて用いてもよい。
本明細書において、「25℃で液状」とは、25℃、1気圧下において、B型粘度計(ローターNo.2)で測定した時の粘度値が7000mPa・s以下のものを指す。
[(a4)エステル油]
本発明の水中油型乳化組成物は、エステル油を含んでもよい。
本発明に用いられるエステル油は、例えば、2-エチルヘキサン酸セチル、パルミチン酸2-エチルヘキシル、2-エチルヘキサン酸2-ヘキシルデシル、ミリスチン酸2-オクチルドデシル、ミリスチン酸2-ヘキシルデシル、イソノナン酸イソノニル、イソノナン酸2-エチルヘキシル、ピバリン酸イソデシル、ピバリン酸イソステアリル、ステアリン酸2-ヘキシルデシル、イソステアリン酸イソステアリル、イソステアリン酸イソプロピル、テトライソステアリン酸ペンタエリトリット、トリ2-エチルヘキサン酸グリセリル、トリ(カプリル・カプリン酸)グリセリル、ミリスチン酸ミリスチル、パルミチン酸セチル、等が挙げられる。エステル油は、1種単独で用いてもよく、2種以上組み合わせて用いてもよい。
なお、油性成分の含有量は、乳化組成物の全質量の7~45質量%の範囲が好ましく、9~40質量%の範囲がより好ましく、12~35質量%の範囲がさらに好ましい。
[(b1)ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル]
本発明における水中油型乳化組成物は、界面活性剤として、ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルを含む。ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルは通常、油相に添加される。
具体例としては、ポリオキシエチレンラウリルエーテル(C12)、ポリオキシエチレンミリスチルエーテル(C14)、ポリオキシエチレンステアリルエーテル(C18)、ポリオキシエチレンベヘニルエーテル(C22)などが例示できる。また、これらのポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルは、オキシエチレン基(以下、「E.O.」ともいう)の数平均付加モル数が2~30のものが好ましく、5~30のものがより好ましく、10~30のものがさらに好ましく、15~30のものが特に好ましい。
ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルは1種単独で用いてもよく、2種以上組み合わせて用いてもよい。
この中でも、本発明における水中油型乳化組成物に含まれるポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルは、安定性の点で、ポリオキシエチレンベヘニルエーテルを含むことがさらに好ましく、E.O.の数平均付加モル数が10~30(より好ましくは12~30、さらに好ましくは15~30)のポリオキシエチレンベヘニルエーテルが特に好ましい。
また、ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルは、HLB(Hydrophile-Lipophile Balance)値が、10~20(好ましくは11~20、より好ましくは12~18)であるポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルを含むことが好ましい。一実施形態において、水中油型乳化組成物に含まれるポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルの全質量の50質量%以上(例えば、60質量%以上、または70質量%以上、または80質量%以上)が、上記範囲のHLB値を有するポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルである。一実施形態において、水中油型乳化組成物に含まれるポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルは、上記範囲のHLB値を有するポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルのみからなる。本明細書において、特別に言及しない限りは、HLB値は、標準試料と乳化力を比較することで実験的に定める。
本発明における水中油型乳化組成物に含まれるポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルの含有量が上記範囲であれば、低温における溶質の析出及び粘度変化を抑制し、かつ、高温における相分離を抑制できるという効果がより好適に得られる。
また、本発明における水中油型乳化組成物に含まれるポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルの含有量が0.7~2.5質量%、さらには1.0~2.0質量%であれば、低温、室温、および高温において、より長期間安定な組成物が得られる。
本発明の一実施形態に係る水中油型乳化組成物は、例えば、(a1)コレステロール、(a2)高級アルコール、および(a3)炭化水素を含む油性成分と、(b1-1)オキシエチレン基の数平均付加モル数が10~30であるポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルと、水性成分とを含み、前記(a1)成分の含有量は、油性成分の全質量の0.7~14質量%であり、前記(b1-1)成分の含有量は、乳化組成物の全質量の0.6~2.8質量%である、水中油型乳化組成物としてもよい。
本発明の水中油型乳化組成物は、上記ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルに加えて、任意のその他の界面活性剤(ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル以外の界面活性剤)を含んでよい。
本発明に用いられる任意のその他の界面活性剤は、特に限定されないが、例えば、ポリオキシエチレンポリオキシプロピレンアルキルエーテルのようなポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル以外のアルキルエーテル系界面活性剤;ポリオキシエチレン脂肪酸エステル;ポリオキシエチレンソルビタン脂肪酸エステル、モノパルミチン酸ソルビタンのようなソルビタン脂肪酸エステル類;ポリオキシエチレンヒマシ油、ポリオキシエチレン硬化ヒマシ油、イソステアリン酸ポリオキシエチレン硬化ヒマシ油、ポリオキシエチレンソルビトールテトラ脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシエチレンフィトステロール、親油型モノステアリン酸グリセリルおよびモノステアリン酸テトラグリセリルのようなグリセリン脂肪酸エステル、ポリグリセリン脂肪酸エステルなどのグリセリン脂肪酸エステル類、ショ糖脂肪酸エステル、ジステアリン酸ポリエチレングリコール、などを、1種単独で用いてもよく、2種以上組み合わせて用いてもよい。この中でも、モノパルミチン酸ソルビタン、親油型モノステアリン酸グリセリル、およびモノステアリン酸テトラグリセリルの少なくとも1種を用いることが好ましい。
本発明の水中油型乳化組成物において水相に用いられる水性成分(水相添加成分、B成分)として、水を含んでもよい。水は、水中油型乳化組成物とするために含有され、化粧料に一般に用いられるものであれば、特に制限されない。例えば、水道水、イオン交換水、蒸留水、精製水等を使用することができる。
本発明の水性成分として湿潤剤を用いてもよい。本発明に用いられる湿潤剤は、特に限定されないが、例えば、プロピレングリコール、ジプロピレングリコール、1,3-プロパンジオール、1,3-ブチレングリコール、イソペンチルジオール、ペンチレングリコール、ヘキサンジオール、カプリリルグリコール、グリセリン、ジグリセリン、ポリグリセリン、ポリエチレングリコール、ポリオキシエチレンメチルグルコシドなどの多価アルコール、ソルビトール、マンニトール、グルコース、キシリトール、マルチトール、トレハロース等の糖類、アルギニン、プロリン、セリン、リシンHCl、トレオニン、バリン、ロイシン、ヒスチジン、アラニン、グリシン、カルノシン等のアミノ酸、ピロリドンカルボン酸ナトリウム、ベタイン、尿素、乳酸ナトリウムや植物エキス、海藻エキス等などを用いることができる。
本発明における水中油型乳化組成物は、上記成分に加えて、通常の化粧料、医薬部外品、または医薬品に含有される任意成分を含有し得る。例えば、保湿剤、酸化防止剤、紫外線吸収剤、増粘剤、pH調整剤、粉末成分、金属封鎖剤、色材、各種の皮膚栄養剤や薬剤等を、必要に応じて適宜含有することができる。
例えば、(a1)コレステロール、(a2)高級アルコール、および(a3)炭化水素を含む油性成分と、(b1)ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルを含む界面活性剤と、水などの水性成分と、を、適当な順番で撹拌混合し、エマルションを生成させればよい。
例えば、以下の実施例においても説明するように、A成分およびB成分を含む油相部(上記油相添加成分)とC成分の水相部(上記水性成分)を各々加熱し均一に溶解させた後、C成分の水相部にA成分およびB成分を含む油相部を加えて乳化機で乳化する。乳化後、水酸化ナトリウム水溶液などのpH調整剤を添加し均一混合し、その後冷却することによって、エマルションを生成させることができる。
例えば、本発明の水中油型乳化組成物は、皮膚外用剤の用途としても利用可能である。例えば、外用液剤、外用ゲル剤、クリーム剤、軟膏剤、リニメント剤、ローション剤、ハップ剤、硬膏剤、噴霧剤、エアゾール剤等が挙げられる。またその使用方法は、前記した化粧料と同様に挙げることができる。
限定されるものではない。
なお、表中の各成分の配合量及び含有量は純分に換算した量であり、特記しない限り「質量%」を表す。
[実施例1~18、比較例1~14]
表1~表8に示す組成となるように、油相添加成分(油性成分Aおよび界面活性剤B)として、以下の成分を混合し、80~90℃で加熱溶解して油性成分溶液を調製した。
(b1-1)ポリオキシエチレン(E.O.20)ベヘニルエーテル((b1)成分)(HLB値 16.5、実験による測定値)
(b1-2)ポリオキシエチレン(E.O.2)ステアリルエーテル((b1)成分)(HLB値 4、小田法により算出)
(b2-1)グリセリン脂肪酸エステル((b2)成分)
(b2-2)ポリオキシエチレン(E.O.20)ヤシ油脂肪酸ソルビタン(b2)成分)
(b2-3)ポリオキシエチレン(E.O.20)ポリオキシプロピレン(P.O.4)セチルエーテル((b2)成分)
(b2-4)モノステアリン酸ポリエチレングリコール(E.0.40)((b2)成分)
(b2-5)ポリオキシエチレン(E.O.100)硬化ヒマシ油((b2)成分)
(b2-6)モノパルミチン酸ソルビタン((b2)成分)
(b2-7)親油型モノステアリン酸グリセリル((b2)成分)
(b2-8)ジステアリン酸ポリエチレングリコール(E.O.4)((b2)成分)
(b2-9)イソステアリン酸ポリオキシエチレン(E.O.5)硬化ヒマシ油((b2)成分)
(b2-10)ポリオキシエチレン(E.O.5)硬化ヒマシ油((b2)成分)
(b2-11)モノステアリン酸テトラグリセリル((b2)成分)
(油性成分A)
(a1)コレステロール((a1)成分、25℃で固体)
(a2-1)ベヘニルアルコール((a2)成分、25℃で固体)
(a3-1)α-オレフィンオリゴマー((a3)成分、25℃で液状)
(a4-1)2-エチルヘキサン酸セチル((a4)成分、25℃で液状)
(c1)アクリル酸・メタクリル酸アルキル共重合体(合成高分子)
(c2)グリセリン(湿潤剤)
(c3)1,3-ブチレングリコール(湿潤剤)
(c4)防腐剤
(c5)精製水
乳化後、pH調整剤として、(c6)水酸化ナトリウム水溶液(1質量%)を添加し、均一混合し、その後冷却することによって、エマルションを生成させ、水中油型乳化組成物を得た。
<水中油型乳化組成物の保存安定性に関する評価:保存試験>
(i)低温安定性
上記実施例および比較例で調製した水中油型乳化組成物を、5℃条件で2ヵ月間静置した。静置後の水中油型乳化組成物について、以下の項目を評価した。
静置前(初期)および静置後の水中油型乳化組成物の粘度を測定して、初期からの粘度上昇率を算出し、以下に示す指標に基づいて評価した。粘度測定には粘度計TVB25L(東機産業製)を用い、3号ローターで12rpmさせ、1分後の粘度値を計測した。
○:粘度上昇率が10%未満
△:粘度上昇率が10%以上30%未満
×: 粘度上昇率が30%以上
静置前(初期)および静置後の水中油型乳化組成物の外観を目視にて観察し、以下に示す指標に基づいて評価した。
◎: 表面析出なし
○: ごくわずかに表面析出あり
△: やや表面析出あり
×: 明らかに表面析出あり
静置前(初期)および静置後の水中油型乳化組成物について、デシタルマイクロスコープ(VHX-1000、キーエンス製)を用いて偏光観察を行い、以下の指標に基づいて評価した。
○: 析出なし
△: わずかに析出あり
×: 明らかに析出あり
上記実施例および比較例で調製した水中油型乳化組成物を、25℃湿度60%の条件で1週間静置した。
(粘度変化)
静置前(初期)および静置後の水中油型乳化組成物の粘度を測定して、初期からの粘度低下率を算出し、以下に示す指標に基づいて評価した。粘度測定には粘度計TVB25L(東機産業製)を用い、3号ローターで12rpmさせ、1分後の粘度値を計測した。
○: 粘度低下率が10%未満
△: 粘度低下率が10%以上30%未満
×: 粘度低下率が30%以上
上記実施例および比較例で調製した水中油型乳化組成物を、50℃条件で2カ月静置した。
(相分離)
静置前(初期)および静置後の水中油型乳化組成物の外観を目視にて観察し、以下に示す指標に基づいて評価した。
〇:相分離なし
×:相分離あり
表3に示すように、高級アルコール((a2)成分)を含まない場合(比較例9)には、高温での相分離が観察され、高温安定性に劣ることが確認された。
表4に示すように、炭化水素((a3)成分)を含まない場合(比較例10)には、室温安定性に劣っていた。
表6、表7に示すように、ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルを2種用いた場合(実施例12)やポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルと組み合わせる界面活性剤の種類を変更した場合(実施例13~16)にも、安定性に優れる乳化組成物が得られた。
表8に示すように、種々のコレステロール含有量に変更した場合(実施例17、18)でも、安定性に優れる乳化組成物が得られた。
本明細書に記載した全ての文献及び刊行物は、その目的にかかわらず参照によりその全体を本明細書に組み込むものとする。また、本明細書は、本願の優先権主張の基礎となる日本国特許出願である特願2020-078175号(2020年4月27日出願)の特許請求の範囲、明細書の開示内容を包含する。
Claims (18)
- (a1)コレステロール、(a2)高級アルコール、および(a3)炭化水素を含む油性成分と、(b1)ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルを含む界面活性剤と、水性成分とを含み、
前記(a1)成分の含有量は、油性成分の全質量の0.7~14質量%であり
前記(b1)成分の含有量は、乳化組成物の全質量の0.6~2.8質量%である、水中油型乳化組成物。 - 前記(b1)成分は、HLB値が10~20であるポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルを含み、
前記(b1)成分の含有量は、乳化組成物の全質量の0.7~2.5質量%である、請求項1に記載の乳化組成物。 - 前記(a1)成分の含有量は、油性成分の全質量の3~12質量%の範囲である、請求項1または2に記載の乳化組成物。
- 前記(b1)成分が、炭素数12~24のアルキル基を有する、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の乳化組成物。
- 前記(b1)成分が、ポリオキシエチレンラウリルエーテル、ポリオキシエチレンミリスチルエーテル、ポリオキシエチレンステアリルエーテル、およびポリオキシエチレンベヘニルエーテルからなる群より選ばれた1種以上の化合物である、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の乳化組成物。
- 前記(a2)成分は、炭素数12~24のアルキル基を有する、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の乳化組成物。
- 前記(a3)成分は、α-オレフィンオリゴマーである、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の乳化組成物。
- 前記(a1)成分の含有量は、乳化組成物の全質量の0.3~1.5質量%の範囲である、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の乳化組成物。
- 前記(a2)成分の含有量は、油性成分の全質量の0.2~6.5質量%であり、
前記(a3)成分の含有量は、油性成分の全質量の10質量%以上である、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の乳化組成物。 - 前記(a3)成分は、25℃で液状である炭化水素であり、乳化組成物中に含有される25℃で液状の油性成分の全質量の10質量%以上を占める、請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の乳化組成物。
- 前記(a3)成分は、乳化組成物中に含有される25℃で液状の油性成分の全質量の10~60質量%の範囲である、請求項10に記載の乳化組成物。
- 前記25℃で液状の油性成分は、前記25℃で液状の炭化水素とエステル油である、請求項10または11に記載の乳化組成物。
- 油性成分の含有量は、乳化組成物の全質量の7~45質量%の範囲である、請求項1~12のいずれか一項に記載の乳化組成物。
- 25℃で液状の油性成分の含有量は、乳化組成物の全質量の5~40質量%の範囲である、請求項10に記載の乳化組成物。
- 前記(b1)成分がオキシエチレン基の数平均付加モル数が10~30であるポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルである、請求項1~14のいずれか一項に記載の乳化組成物。
- (a1)コレステロール、(a2)高級アルコール、および(a3)炭化水素を含む油性成分と、(b1-1)オキシエチレン基の数平均付加モル数が10~30であるポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルと、水性成分とを含み、
前記(a1)成分の含有量は、油性成分の全質量の0.7~14質量%であり、
前記(b1-1)成分の含有量は、乳化組成物の全質量の0.6~2.8質量%である、水中油型乳化組成物。 - 化粧料である、請求項1~16のいずれか一項に記載の乳化組成物。
