Description

DESCRIPTION
PANEL, IN PARTICULAR OF TRANSPARENT MATERIAL AND
BARRIER IN PARTICULAR INCLUDING SUCH PANEL
Technical field
This invention relates to a panel, in particular a panel made of transparent material.
Background art
There are prior art panels for barriers, in particular in the form of soundproofing panels, especially designed to delimit routes such as roads, motorways, railways or rail routes in general, which comprise a sheet body, in particular in the form of a respective sheet of transparent material, for example made of transparent plastic or glass, and means of supporting the sheet body of the panel.
It is considered in the sector that, in order to make panels with transparent sheets, which are suitable for supporting the stresses to which the panels are subjected - in particular inside barriers delimiting respective communication routes - it is essential to provide profiles for supporting these which surround the transparent sheet entirely and which are securely connected to each other, by respective couplings at the ends of the respective supporting profiles.
More specifically, the supporting profiles, which are made of metal material, comprise an upper longitudinal profile, a lower longitudinal profile and a pair of lateral profiles, which receive a corresponding edge of the sheet with the interposing of a respective elastic retaining element and which are connected to each other by corresponding corner pieces and respective connecting bolts.
Moreover, perpendicularly projecting elements are provided in an intermediate position on the lateral supporting profiles of these panels of known type, defining the elements for adjusting the space, which is present between the tabs of the uprights supporting the barrier in which the panels are inserted.
Consequently, this results in a panel structure which is relatively complex and costly to make.
Summary of the invention
This invention proposes a novel solution, alternative to the solutions known up to now and which can overcome one or more of the above mentioned disadvantages and/or meet one or more of the requirements mentioned in or inferable from the above.
A panel is therefore provided, in particular of the noise control type, preferably for a barrier, in particular designed to delimit routes such as roads, motorways, railways or rail routes in general, the panel comprising a sheet body, in particular in the form of a respective sheet of transparent material, and supporting means for the sheet body of the panel; characterised in that the supporting means are constituted of, or comprise only, a first and a second profile, which engage with the sheet body at respective edges of the self-same sheet body, in particular at edges which are opposite one another of the self-same sheet body.
In this way, it is possible to obtain a panel with a basic structure which is quick to set up and having a limited construction cost. This is all done without the strength of the panel being in some way compromised or reduced in such a way as to adversely affect the duration and functionality of the panel.
This invention also relates to a barrier in particular using such a panel preferably made of transparent material.

Detailed description of preferred embodiments of the invention
The accompanying drawings illustrate a first preferred embodiment of the panel 10, in particular of the soundproofing tpe, and preferably which can be used in a barrier, in particular forming a first preferred embodiment of the barrier, and in particular designed to delimit transport networks, such as roads, motorways or railways, or other environments.
The barrier comprises a plurality of supporting elements, which are, more specifically, as may be inferred from Figure 5A, in the form of respective uprights 11 defined by corresponding l-shaped profiles, that is to say, having a central core 111 , from which respective tabs 112, 113 extend, defining a respective seat 10 for housing corresponding ends of the panels 10.
More specifically, the barrier comprises, for each stretch provided between respective supporting elements, or uprights, a plurality of panels superposed on each other and which extend longitudinally between the adjacent uprights, that is to say, in the direction of extension of the barrier. As may be inferred, the panel 10 comprises a sheet body 12, forming the main part of the panel, which extends along a respective two-dimensional plane having a respective thickness.
Preferably, the sheet body 12 is made of transparent material, in particular glass, or transparent plastic, for example polymethylmethacrylate or polycarbonate.
As illustrated, the sheet body 12 has a respective perimetric profile, more specifically rectangular, defining respective lateral, or transversal edges, 121 , 122, in particular parallel to each other, and respective longitudinal edges, respectively upper and lower, 123, 124, in particular parallel to each other and at right angles to the lateral, or transversal, edges.
According to one particular embodiment, the longitudinal edges 123, 124 comprise an extension greater than that of the lateral or transversal, edges 121 , 122 in such a way as to define a respective panel which extends more along the longitudinal direction of extension of the panel.
The panel 10 also comprises means for supporting the sheet body 12, which advantageously comprise, or comprise only, a first and a second profile 14, 16, which engage the sheet body 12 at respective edges of the sheet body 12, in particular at edges 123, 124 opposite each other of the sheet body.
Advantageously, the respective supporting profile 14, 16 engages a respective elongate longitudinal edge 123, 124 of the sheet body 12 of the panel, in particular, respectively, the respective upper edge 123 and the respective lower edge 124 of the sheet body 12.
In practice, the supporting profiles 14, 16 engage the sheet body 12 at opposite upper and lower longitudinal edges, or sides, 123, 124.
As illustrated, the respective supporting profile 14, 16 comprises a respective portion 151 , comprising, in particular, a respective seat 150 for receiving a corresponding peripheral edge of the sheet body 12 of the panel.
Moreover, the respective supporting profile 14, 16 comprises a respective stiffening portion 152.
There are means 18 projecting perpendicularly relative to the panel and which define means for engaging an opposite surface, or tab, of a corresponding element, or upright, supporting the barrier, that is, defining means 110 for adjusting the space for receiving the panel, which is present between the panel and the surfaces, or tabs, of the element, or upright, supporting of the barrier.
Advantageously, the projecting means 18 for engaging or adjusting extend from a respective longitudinal end 17, 19 of the respective supporting profile 14, 16.
In practice there are, for each supporting profile 14, 16, a first and a second projecting adjusting element 18, 18, which are provided at the longitudinal ends 17, 19 of the respective supporting profile 14, 16.
More specifically, the engagement means 18 projecting perpendicularly have a perpendicular length which is adjustable or variable in a suitable or desired manner.
The engagement means 18 projecting perpendicularly are in the form of a respective elongate rod element 181 , in particular having a respective large widened head 182 forming an engagement surface for the corresponding surface of the supporting element of the barrier.
In particular, the rod element 181 has a respective outer surface, in particular threaded, acting in conjunction with a corresponding nut, or threaded bushing, 183 defining, together with a lock nut 184, means for fixing the adjustment element 18 to the respective supporting profile 14, 16.
More specifically, as illustrated, the respective supporting profile 14, 16 is in the form of an elongate straight element.
Moreover, the respective supporting profile 14, 16 has a general "S" shape in a transversal cross-section.
As illustrated, the respective supporting profile 14, 16 comprises the respective portion 151, forming the seat 150 for receiving the respective peripheral edge 123, 124 of the plate body of the panel, which has opposite and perpendicularly spaced longitudinal walls 1501 , 1503, which are connected to each other by a corresponding perpendicular bottom wall 1502.
As illustrated, the respective supporting profile 14, 16 comprises the respective stiffening portion 152, which has opposite and perpendicularly spaced longitudinal walls 1503, 1504 which are connected to each other by a perpendicular bottom wall 1505.
More specifically, the bottom wall 1505 of the stiffening portion 152 is vertically on the opposite side of the bottom wall 1502 of the insertion seat of the corresponding peripheral edge of the sheet body 12 of the panel. Advantageously, there are means for reinforcing the respective supporting profile 14, 16, which are advantageously provided at the longitudinal, or lateral, ends of the corresponding supporting profile 14, 16.
Preferably, the reinforcing means are in the form of a profile with a general "C" shape, which is coupled to the stiffening portion 152 of the respective supporting profile 14, 16. Other embodiments for the reinforcing profile might also be imagined.
Advantageously, the means of engaging, or adjusting, 18 define means for connecting the reinforcing profile 21 to the respective supporting profile 14, 16, in particular to the respective stiffening portion 152.
As illustrated, the reinforcing profile 21 , in particular with a general "C" shape, has respective end tabs 211 , 212, which are connected to each other through a respective core 213.
As illustrated, advantageously, the respective reinforcing profile 21 is inside, in particular entirely inside, the stiffening portion 152 of the respective supporting profile 14, 16.
As illustrated, advantageously, the respective reinforcing profile 21 comprises respective end tabs 211 , 212, which are positioned between and in contact with opposite and perpendicularly spaced walls 1503, 1504 of the stiffening portion 152 of the respective supporting profile 14, 16. As illustrated, preferably, the respective reinforcing profile 21 comprises a respective connecting core 213 between respective end tabs 211 , 212, the core 213 being positioned parallel to, and in particular spaced from, the bottom wall 1505 of the stiffening portion 152 of the respective supporting profile 14, 16. However, positioning the bottom wall 1505 in contact with the bottom of the stiffening portion 152 is also imaginable.
According to another aspect, the reinforcing profile 21 has a respective core 213 connecting between respective end tabs 211 , 212, the core 213 being placed in an intermediate position of the extension of the longitudinal walls 1503, 1504 of the stiffening portion 152 of the supporting profile 14, 16, in particular in more the proximity of the bottom 1505 of the stiffening portion 152.
In other words, the respective reinforcing profile 21 defines an inner loop 214, between the tabs 211 , 212 and core 113, the inner loop facing towards respective outer edge of the panel, that is, in the direction of the opening of the stiffening portion 152.
As illustrated, in practice, the respective reinforcing profile 21 , in the general shape of a "C", is oriented in the same way as the stiffening portion 152, which also has the general shape of a "C".
More specifically, the respective reinforcing profile 21 is in the form of a short piece, in particular longitudinally elongate, and in particular having a transversal cross-section having the general shape of a "C", which is located at the respective end 17, 19 of the supporting profile 14, 16, at the positioning of the adjusting means 18.
As illustrated, the opening of the portion 151 for receiving the panel of the respective supporting profiles 14, 16 faces towards the central part of the sheet body 12.
Advantageously, between the supporting profile 14, 16 and the corresponding edge 122, 123 of the sheet body of the panel, there are interposing means, in particular elastic, or elastically compliant, in particular defining means 23 for gripping the sheet body to the corresponding supporting profile 14, 16.
More specifically, the interposing means 23 are wound around the respective edge portion 122, 123 of the sheet body 12.
As illustrated, the interposing portion 23 is in the form of a longitudinally elongate element in the general shape of a "C".
As illustrated, the interposing portion 23 is inserted in the seat 150 of the receiving portion 151 of the corresponding supporting profile 14, 16.
As illustrated, the interposing means 23 comprise respective end tabs 231 , 232, between the respective walls 1501 , 1503 of the receiving portion 151 of the supporting profile 14, 16 and the opposite surfaces of the plate element 12, the end tabs 231 , 232 of which being connected to each other by a corresponding core 233, in contact with the bottom 1502 of the receiving portion 151 and with the corresponding end edge 123, 124 of the plate element 12.
The supporting profile 14, 16 extends longitudinally to the sheet element 12 of the panel, and, according to a particular embodiment, for a length slightly greater than the longitudinal length of it.
Advantageously, the perpendicular engaging, or adjusting, means 18 connect a longitudinal end wall 1504 of the stiffening portion 152 of the supporting profile 14, 16 and the corresponding tab 212 of the reinforcing profile 21 , inserting in corresponding holes of these and thanks to the respective nut or threaded bush 183 and lock nut 184 locking, respectively, the wall 1504 and the tab 212.
Advantageously, on the respective free edge of the sheet element or body 12, in particular on a respective lateral, or transversal, edge 121 , 122, there are superposing means 25, in particular elastic, especially forming a respective seal, preferably made of rubber or elastomeric material.
As illustrated, the superposing means 25 surround the respective end edge portion 121 , 122 of the sheet body 12.
More specifically, in use, the superposing means 25 comprise a respective portion 251 , which overlaps the respective end face, in particular lateral, 121 , 122 of the sheet element 12.
As illustrated, in use, the superposing means 25 comprise a respective portion 252, which overlaps the end portion, in particular lateral, of the front face of the sheet element 12.
Moreover, as illustrated, in use, the superposing means 25 comprise a respective portion 253, which overlaps the end portion, in particular lateral, of the front face of the sheet element 12.
In practice, the superposing means 25 define means for damping any engaging or contact of the end edge, in particular, corresponding lateral edge of the panel, for example with the respective parts of the supporting upright 11.
The superposing means 25 extend along the entire corresponding edge 121 , 122 of the sheet element 12.
There are, advantageously, means 27 covering the elastic superposing means 25.
More specifically, the covering means 27 are designed to define means of sealing the superposing means 25 on the respective edge 121 , 122 of the sheet element 12.
As illustrated, the covering means 27 comprise, or are in the form of, an elongate element having a general "C" shape cross section.
More specifically, as illustrated, the covering means 27 comprise respective end tabs 271 , 272, the end tabs being connected to each other by a corresponding core 273.
As illustrated, advantageously, the covering means 27 are fitted on the corresponding edge portion, in particular lateral, 121 , 122 of the sheet element 12, with the interposing of the elastic superposing means, or seal, 25.
Also advantageously, there are means 29 for retaining the superposing means 25 and/or the covering means 27 on the corresponding edge portion 21 , 122 of the sheet element.
More specifically, the retaining means of the superposing means 25 and/or of the covering means 27 on the corresponding edge portion 121 , 122 of the plate element 12 comprise a respective bracket element 29, in particular having a general "L" shape, which is fixed, advantageously, at the respective end of the corresponding supporting profile 14, 16 and engages, in particular externally, with a corresponding end of the superposing means and/or covering means 27, in particular, according to this embodiment, the outer faced of the later.
Further advantageously, from the point of view of the number of components used, the engaging or adjusting means 18 also form connecting means of the retaining means of the superposing means 25 and/or covering means 27.
More specifically, the adjusting means 18 have the respective rod which inserts into a corresponding hole, which is located in a tab 291 of the bracket retention means, the tab 291 extending longitudinally, and from that tab 191 extends, perpendicularly, a further tab 292, which engages behind or outside the superposing and/or covering means.
In a different embodiment, illustrated in the Figures 6A to 6E, the means for retaining the superposing means 25 and/or the covering means 27, on the corresponding edge portion 121 , 122 of the sheet element 12, comprise a linear element, suitably thin, in particular flexible or foldable, which is, in particular, in the form of a respective cord, preferably made of metallic material.
The linear element is connected to the respective longitudinal ends 17, 19 of the supporting profiles '14, 16 and engages, in particular outside a corresponding face of the superposing means 25 and/or the covering means 27, in particular, according to this invention, the outer face of the latter.
Figure 6A, like the subsequent Figures 6B to 6E, illustrates only an end portion of the flexible linear retaining element, which is labelled 31.
The linear retaining element 31 has a respective end, or enlarged portion, in particular in the form of a corresponding block 32, with a suitable shape, in particular as may be inferred from the figures with a cylindrical, spherelike, mushroom or, if necessary, other shape, which allows the fixing of the linear retaining element 31 to the respective end 17, 19 of the corresponding supporting profiles 14, 16.
Advantageously, there are means 33 for engaging the lifting means of the panel.
Advantageously, the engagement means 33 for the panel lifting means are formed by, or fixed to, the retaining means for the superposing means 25 and/or the covering means 27 on the corresponding edge portion 121 , 122 of the plate element 2.
More specifically, as may be inferred from Figure 6A, the engagement means for the panel lifting means are in the form of a looped portion 33, which is in particular formed by the end of the linear retaining element 31. The profiles 14, 16 for supporting the panel are made preferably of metal material, in particular, a metal sheet suitably folded. More specifically, as illustrated, the intermediate wall 1503 is shared between the receiving portion 151 of the sheet element 12 and the stiffening portion 152.
More specifically, the various elastic elements may be made of plastic provided with suitable rotatable extensions, that is, like the seal 25 made of elastomeric material.
Moreover, the covering element 27 may be made from metallic material, or plastic material.
Finally, thanks to the various manufacturing aspects of this panel, a panel is advantageously provided which has a limited number of components and which are easily assembled together.
Figures 7 to 0C illustrate a second preferred embodiment of the barrier according to this invention.
More specifically, Figures 7 and 8 illustrate a portion of a barrier 011 for delimiting infrastructure zones from the surrounding environment, in particular for delimiting routes such as roads, motorways, railways or rail routes in general, for example, from a residential area.
The barrier 011 preferably comprises respective panel means 010, which are connected to the corresponding supporting means, in particular in the form of corresponding column uprights 012.
