Abstract
Provided herein are bio-based polymers in which at least one component is derived partially or completely from biomass, and methods of producing such bio-based polymers. The bio-derived components can be obtained by degrading biomass using the catalysts described herein to produce a mixture of sugars, and the sugars can be converted into one or more components of the bio-based polymers.
