Abstract

본 발명은 (a) 촉매의 존재 하에 처리 대상 탄소 함유 물질을 스팀과 반응시켜 수소, 일산화탄소 및 이산화탄소 등을 포함하는 합성가스를 생성시키는 단계; (b) 상기 단계 (a)에서 수득된 합성가스 일부를 연소공정에 도입하거나, 및/또는 합성가스로부터 수소와 일산화탄소를 분리하여 이산화탄소 풍부 가스(carbon dioxide rich gas)를 생성시키는 단계; 및 (c) 상기 단계 (b)로부터의 이산화탄소 풍부 가스를 상기 단계 (a)로 재순환시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 탄소 함유 물질의 가스화 방법을 제공하여 이산화탄소의 저감을 위해 이산화탄소를 분리 또는 포집 및 저장하는 방법이 필요가 없어 이를 위한 별도의 장치 및 설비를 구성하는데 필요한 비용을 최소화할 수 있는 장점이 있다.
