Abstract
Description
ピボットホルダ18の取付脚部としての車体取付脚38は、ホルダ筒部34から径方向外方(車両前方かつ車両外方。図3では左方)に延出する脚体38Aと、ボルト等を介して車体に取付けられる取付孔を有するように脚体38Aの先端に形成されたC字状の車体取付部38Bとを有する。
図3に示すように、第1金属部品28は、たとえばアルミニウム合金等の金属によって形成されたダイキャスト品であり、第2金属部品30は、鋼板をプレスすることによって形成されたプレス加工品である。第1金属部品28は、ピボットシャフト12が挿通される第1環部42と、腕体40Aの骨格を構成する腕骨格部44と、被嵌合部40Bを構成する被嵌合部構成部46とを一体に有する。第2金属部品30は、ピボットシャフト12が挿通される第2環部48と、脚体38Aの骨格を構成する取付脚構成部としての脚骨格部50とを一体に有する。すなわち本実施形態では、第1環部42と第2環部48は、互いに別体である。
腕骨格部44の腕体40Aは、樹脂部32に埋設されることによって腕体40Aの内部骨格を構成している。被嵌合部構成部46は、樹脂部32から露出しており、被嵌合部40Bを構成している。つまり第1金属部品28の被嵌合部構成部46は、被嵌合部40Bの外周部を構成しているのみならず、被嵌合部40Bの内周部を含む被嵌合部40Bの全体を構成している。
金属製の被嵌合部構成部46によって構成された被嵌合部40Bは、フレームパイプ16の受承部26の内方に挿入される。この挿入状態で、複数の密着凹部52に対応する受承部26の部分は、カシメ装置などによって外方から内方に向かってカシメられる。その結果、図4に示すように、受承部26は部分的に塑性変形して、内方に突出する複数の突起66が形成される。これら複数の突起66は、複数の密着凹部52にそれぞれ密着するように嵌合される。このようなカシメ固定によって、図3に示すようにピボットホルダ18は、フレームパイプ16に連結される。すなわち被嵌合部40Bに形成された密着凹部52は、突起66が密着する密着表面を有する密着部を構成している。
(1) ワイパ装置10は、フレームパイプ16とピボットホルダ18とがカシメ固定によって互いに連結される構成とされている。よってピボットホルダ18は、フレームパイプ16とは別に成形することができる。したがってたとえば長尺のフレームパイプ16にピボットホルダ18を一体成形するような場合に比して、本実施形態のワイパ装置10の製造工程時間は短くて済むし、大掛かりな設備も不要である。よってコストダウンすることができる。
(6) 第2実施形態のフレームパイプ16とピボットホルダ18も、上述の第1実施形態と同様にカシメ固定によって互いに連結される。よってコストダウンすることができる。
図10に示すように、金属部品98は、たとえばアルミニウム合金等の金属によって形成されたダイキャスト品とされ、環部112と、取付脚構成部を構成する脚骨格部120及び取付部構成部118と、腕骨格部114と、被嵌合部構成部116とをこの順で直線状に一体に有する。
(11) 上述の第1実施形態と同様に、第3実施形態のピボットホルダ18も、フレームパイプ16にカシメ固定によって連結される構成とされている。よってコストダウンすることができる。
図3に示す第1実施形態の車体取付部38Bは、樹脂部32によって構成されていた。これを変更して、第2金属部品が車体取付部38Bも構成してもよい。たとえば第2金属部品30をより長く延びるように形成し、樹脂部32から露出した第2金属部品30の部分を、取付脚構成部として構成する。
Claims (11)
- 筒状の受承部を有する金属製のフレーム部材と;
前記フレーム部材に固定されるとともにピボットシャフトを保持するピボットホルダと
を備えるワイパ装置であって、
前記ピボットホルダは、
前記ピボットシャフトを回動自在に支持するホルダ筒部と;
前記ホルダ筒部から径方向外方に延出され且つ車体に取付けられる車体取付脚と;
前記受承部の内方に挿入された状態で前記受承部がカシメられることによって前記受承部と嵌合固定される被嵌合部と
を有し、
前記ピボットホルダは、金属部と、前記金属部よりも比重が小さく前記金属部に一体成形される樹脂部とによって一体化部品として構成され、
前記被嵌合部の少なくとも外周部は、前記金属部によって構成されている
ことを特徴とする、ワイパ装置。 - 前記ホルダ筒部は、前記樹脂部によって構成されている、
請求項1記載のワイパ装置。 - 前記金属部は、
前記ピボットシャフトが挿通されるとともに前記ホルダ筒部において前記樹脂部に埋設される第1環部と;
前記第1環部から延びて前記被嵌合部の外周部を構成する外周部構成部と
を有する、
請求項1または2記載のワイパ装置。 - 前記被嵌合部の内周部は、前記金属部によって前記外周部と一体化した中実体として形成されている、
請求項3記載のワイパ装置。 - 前記金属部は、
前記ピボットシャフトが挿通されるとともに前記ホルダ筒部において前記樹脂部に埋設される第2環部と;
前記第2環部から延びて前記車体取付脚の少なくとも一部を構成する取付脚構成部と
を有する、
請求項3または4記載のワイパ装置。 - 前記第1環部と前記第2環部は別体であり、
前記金属部は、
前記第1環部と前記外周部構成部とを有する第1金属部品と;
前記第2環部と前記取付脚構成部とを有する第2金属部品と
を有する、
請求項5記載のワイパ装置。 - 前記第1環部と前記第2環部は一体である、
請求項5記載のワイパ装置。 - 前記外周部構成部の一部は、前記取付脚構成部を構成しており、
前記車体取付脚の先端は、前記ホルダ筒部と前記被嵌合部の間に位置するように形成されている、
請求項7記載のワイパ装置。 - 前記車体取付脚は、
前記ホルダ筒部から径方向外方に延出する脚体と;
前記脚体の先端に形成され且つ車体に取付けられる車体取付部と
を有し、
前記脚体は、前記樹脂部と、前記樹脂部に埋設されることによって前記脚体の内部骨格を形成する前記取付脚構成部とによって構成され、
前記車体取付部は、前記樹脂部によって構成されている、
請求項5~8何れか一項記載のワイパ装置。 - 前記金属部は、前記被嵌合部の外周部を構成する中空の外周部構成部を有し、
前記樹脂部は、前記外周部構成部の内方から前記外周部構成部を支持する支持部を有する、
請求項1または2記載のワイパ装置。 - ピボットシャフトを回動自在に支持するホルダ筒部を有するピボットホルダであって、
前記ピボットホルダは、金属製のフレームパイプに連結されるために前記フレームパイプの内方に挿入される連結部を有し、前記連結部は、前記フレームパイプがカシメられることによって前記フレームパイプに形成される突起が密着する密着部を有し、前記突起が前記密着部の表面に密着することによって前記連結部は前記フレームパイプに連結されるように構成され、
前記ピボットホルダは、前記密着部を構成する金属部と、前記ホルダ筒部を構成しつつ前記金属部に一体成形される樹脂部とによって構成される
ことを特徴とする、ピボットホルダ。
