Abstract

 本発明の携帯通信端末は、第1の無線通信システムに対応する第1無線通信手段102と、外部装置200を着脱自在に接続可能なインターフェース107と、インターフェース107に接続された外部装置200が、第2の無線通信システムに対応し、かつ第1無線通信手段102よりも消費電力が少ない第2無線通信手段202であるか否かを判定する判定手段111と、電池を含む電源部103の電池電圧を検出する電池電圧検出手段104と、判定手段111により第2無線通信手段202の接続を判定したとき、第1無線通信手段102が通信中で、かつ、電池電圧検出手段104で検出された電池電圧が所定値以下のときは、第1無線通信手段102を使用停止状態に制御する制御手段111と、を有する。これにより、ユーザに対して不測の事態を招くことなく、電池電圧に応じたマルチモード通信を効率よく実行可能とする。
