Description

Description A COOLING DEVICE
[001] This invention relates to a cooling device comprising a door handle mechanism that provides easiness for the user.
[002] In a cooling device, preferably in a refrigerator, it may be difficult to open the door as a result of the magnetic forces of gaskets that are situated on the door and/or the vacuum effect caused by the pressure difference. After the door is opened; if it is desired to keep the door at the slightly open position, the door may close again especially due to the magnetic effect of gaskets. Especially at times when the user places a lot of food and beverages into the cooling device, problems arise in keeping the door open.
[003] After the door handle or the door opening mechanism opens the door of the cooling device is opened manually or automatically by the help of user, it may close again due to the magnetic effect of the gasket.
[004] The object of the present invention is to realize a cooling device comprising a door which, after being opened, is brought to a distance where it is not affected by magnetic forces of the gasket that is used to provide leak proof property between the main body and itself.
[005] The cooling device designed to fulfill the object of the present invention is il¬ lustrated in the attached figures, where:
[006] Fig 1 is a perspective view of a cooling device,
[007] Fig 2 is an exploded view of a pushing mechanism,
[008] Fig 3 is a bottom schematic view of a closed door, a pusher that is closed on the door by compressing, and front corner of a main body
[009] Fig 4 is a bottom schematic view of an opened door, a pusher that is opened on the door and front corner of a main body,
[010] Fig 5 is a bottom schematic view of a closed door, a plate shaped pusher that is closed on the door by compressing, and front corner of a main body,
[011] Fig 6 is a bottom schematic view of an opened door, a plate shaped pusher that is opened on the door and front corner of a main body,
[012] Elements shown in figures are numbered as follows:
1. Cooling device
2. Door
3. Main body
4. Cushion
5. Leg
6. Gasket 7. Pusher
8. Cover
9. Pushing mechanism
10. Slipper
11. Shaft
12. Spring mechanism
[013] Cooling device (1), preferably a refrigerator, comprises a main body (3), a door (2), an opening mechanism which opens and closes the door (2), more than one leg (5) on which it stands, one or more gaskets (6) preferably having magnetic attraction force and enabling the door (2) to be closed providing the leak proof property of the door (2), and a pushing mechanism (9) preferably on the bottom front section of the main body (3), and located on the main body (3) or on the door (2) and enabling the door (2) to sustain the opening movement as the force that is applied to the opening action is taken out after the door (2) is separated from the main body (3)..
[014] In the preferred embodiment of the invention, pushing mechanism (9) enables the door (2) to sustain the opening action up to a distance that prevents the closing of the door due to the force that the gasket (6) generates after the door (2) is opened with the initial movement given and further maintains this state.
[015] The pushing mechanism (9) comprises a pusher (7) that provides the door (2) open and maintain the door without closing after it is rescued from the effect of the gasket (6) and opened by the opening mechanism, a shaft (11) that enables the pusher (7) to move by rotating around itself, a spring mechanism (12) creating a force smaller than the magnetic force of the gasket (6) preventing the pusher (7) from opening wider than the angle (A) that is determined by the manufacturer when rotating around the shaft (11), and contracting and pushing the pusher (7) and consequently the door (2) back to angle (A) position determined by the manufacturer in cases when the angle is smaller than angle (A), a slipper (10) that is located on the edge of the pusher (7), that contacts the door (2) as it moves on the inner bottom surface, and that provides that movement of the door (2) or the pusher (7) without damaging the surface of the door (2), and a cover (8) that protects the pushing mechanism (9).
[016] In another embodiment of the invention, a slipper (10) in a wheel form that has a very small friction surface with the surface that it contacts and can move by rotating, and a pusher (7) that is in the form of a rod that can rotate around its one edge that is connected to the pushing mechanism (9) and the slipper (10) is placed on its other edge, are used (Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4).
[017] In another embodiment of the invention, the pushing mechanism (9) comprises one or more than one cushion (4) that is located on the pusher (7) preferably on its edge, that prevents pusher (7) and the surface that the pusher (7) contacts from being damaged or that absorbs the forces acting on the pusher (7) when the door (2) is opened by being pushed.
[018] In another embodiment of the invention, a pusher (7) that is in a plate form and a cushion (4) that is made of elastic material that absorbs vibrations and prevents sudden impacts that occur between the pusher (7) and the surface that it contacts is used (Figure 5, figure 6).
[019] In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the pushing mechanism (9) is fixed on the main body (3), but not attached to the door (2), and contacting the door (2) in order to push it back to the position determined by the manufacturer by the pusher (7). The door (2) may open wider independent of the pushing mechanism (9), if it is required.
[020] In another embodiment of the invention, the pushing mechanism (9) is fixed on the door (2), but not attached to the main body (3), and contacting the main body (3) in order to push the door (2) to the position determined by the manufacturer by the pusher (7). The door (2), together with the pushing mechanism (9), when the door is required to open more wider, independently from the main body (3) .
[021] In another embodiment of the invention, the pushing mechanism (9) has a hydraulic and/or pneumatic damper structure instead of the spring mechanism (12) in order to provide controlled movement and functions as an absorber.
[022] When the invention is applied, the door (2) is opened by the user preferably with an opening mechanism (4). After the door is opened, if it is close to the main body (3), the effect of the magnetic field generated by the gasket (6) may cause the door (2) to close. At this stage the pusher (7) that is pushed by the spring mechanism (12) causes the door (2) not to close and brings the door (2) to a position determined by the man¬ ufacturer away from the magnetic effect of a gasket (6).
[023] With the embodiment, the object of the present invention, after the door of a cooling device (1) is opened, it stays open until the user wants to close it. The doors that are manually or automatically opened by the user or by the opening mechanisms are prevented from closing especially due to the magnetic effects of the gasket.
