Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zum Verarbeiten von digitalen Datenwerten, bei dem mit Hilfe eines Prediktor-Verfahrens aus dem jeweils aktuellen digitalen Datenwert und aus jeweils einem Vorhersagewert ein Differenzwert gebildet wird und in einem sich an das Prediktor-Verfahren anschließenden RICE-Verfahren aus den Differenzwerten komprimierte Werte erzeugt werden. Um ein solches Verfahren vergleichsweise schnell durchzuführen, ist vorgesehen, dass der jeweilige Vorhersagewert mittels eines Signalmodells gewonnen wird, das den erwarteten zeitlichen Verlauf der digitalen Datenwerte beschreibt.
