Abstract

L'invention concerne une unité de réglage (1) destinée à être installée dans une ouverture d'une paroi (13) limitant l'habitacle (12) d'un véhicule automobile, en particulier une console centrale ou un tableau de bord, cette unité de réglage (1) comprenant un ou plusieurs éléments de réglage qui envoient des signaux à une unité de commande, laquelle génère, à partir des signaux de sortie de l'unité de réglage (1), des signaux de commande pour une unité de sortie optique (9), au moyen desquels un curseur peut être déplacé sur ladite unité de sortie optique (9), et pour commander un système du véhicule. Selon l'invention, ladite unité de réglage (1) est conçue de telle sorte qu'elle présente une zone d'entrée (2) plane, comportant une surface d'entrée (3) tournée vers l'habitacle et une face arrière (4) opposée à l'habitacle, cette zone d'entrée (2) étant optiquement transparente et l'unité de réglage (1) comprenant un élément sensible optique (5) au moyen duquel une représentation de ladite zone d'entrée (2) peut être détectée. Un signal de sortie de cet élément sensible optique (5) est transmis à l'unité de commande (8) pour que celle-ci génère les signaux de commande permettant de déplacer le curseur sur l'unité de sortie optique (9). La zone d'entrée (2) est en particulier adaptée aux contours de la console centrale ou du tableau de bord.
