Abstract

The object of the invention is a solution for a car interior equipment element construction that facilitates assembly and eliminates unwanted sounds. The car interior equipment element consists of a frame (1) that supports an elastic foamed plastic cushion (2). Parts of the cushion (2) surface, in the area of the upper edge corners as well as the contact surfaces of the cushion (2) and the frame (1) are covered with a coat (3) which is permanently bonded with the cushion (2). The whole cushion (2) is upholstered with a covering (4).

Description

Car interior equipment element
The object of the invention is a car interior equipment element, for example a backrest, seat, headrest or armrest.
There are popularly known car interior equipment elements that consist of bearing frames supporting elastic cushions made of foamed plastic. The cushion is upholstered with various types of covering materials, for example cloth, natural or artificial leather. The covering material is manufactured separately, and then put on the cushion surrounding the frame. The process of upholstering is made difficult by the friction between the cushion surface and the inside of the covering material. For this reason the cushion surface is, in certain places, particularly on the corners, covered with a layer of non-woven fabric having a lower friction coefficient against the inside of the covering material, which as a result makes the process of upholstering easier.
The principal disadvantage of the known solution is the difficult assembly. Another disadvantage is the noise generated when the foamed plastic cushion moves in relation to the metal frame of, for example a seat, as the element is used.
The aim of the invention is to design an equipment element construction without the disadvantages of the known solution.
The aim is achieved by providing at least part of the elastic cushion surface, in specified places, with a friction-reducing coat permanently bonded with the cushion. Such places are preferably the cushion corners and/or frame element contact surfaces.
The advantage of the solution according to the invention is that the process of upholstering the cushion with a covering is much easier and that it makes it possible to stop the use of an additional component, i.e. the non-woven element. If the friction-reducing coat is put on the cushion surface and the frame element contact surfaces, the source of the noise will be eliminated.
The object of the invention is described in more detail in the sample embodiment drawing, in which Fig. 1 presents an interior equipment element - a seat in partial view, and Fig. 2 presents a part of a section of the car interior equipment element.
The car interior equipment element in the form of a seat backrest consists of a metal frame 1, on which an elastic polyurethane foam cushion 2 is put. Parts of the cushion 2 in the area of the upper-edge corners, as well as the contact surfaces of the cushion 2 and the frame 1 are covered with a coat 3 permanently bonded with the cushion 2. The whole of the cushion 2 is upholstered with a covering 4.
