Abstract

The invention relates to a pediculicidal product containing ascaridole. An active substance identified as ascaridole having pediculicidal activity is obtained from the leaves of Chenopodium graveolens Wild (or Teloxis graveolens Wild). It is formulated as a shampoo and applied in humans for the elimination of lice of the species Pediculus humanus of type capitis and Phthirus pubis. The product can also be formulated as a cream, ointment, liquid soap, paste soap, lotion, gel, talcum powder and spray, which are applied topically. The preparation of active substance ascaridole is not toxic in very low doses. It can therefore be used not only as a pediculicidal agent, but also as atoxic insecticide, bactericide, fungicide and antimicotic agent.

En México, así como en muchos países independientemente del nivel de desarrollo, se reconoce como un problema de sanidad pública la Pediculosis que afecta no únicamente a humanos sino también a los animales, tanto en los domésticos como los de cría. Es un producto de origen vegetal, que tanto en su proceso como en su formulación para uso humano, veterinario, agrícola y uso domestico, se utiliza tecnología de muy bajo costo, dado que en este país México se requiere para su industrialización, además no se requieren solventes tóxicos, garantizando un producto de estabilidad, seguridad y eficacia; el producto cumple los requisitos de la SECRETARIA DE COMERCIO Y FOMENTO INDUSTRIAL, así como las NORMAS MEXICANAS, para su Formulación en champú. Contiene un principio activo identificado como ASCARIDOL, el cual se encuentra en el follaje del Chenopodium graveóles Willd o Teloxis graveóles Willd. PROCESO DE OBTENCIÓN.OBTAINING PROCESS.
