Abstract

The invention concerns sprinkler systems comprising sprinkler nozzles made of a bronze alloy which consists of between 77 and 84 weight % copper, between 8.5 and 11.0 weight % aluminium, between 4.0 and 6.5 weight % nickel and between 3.5 and 5.5 weight % iron. The advantage of such sprinkler nozzles is their melting point which is approximately 500 °C higher than that of prior art nozzles. As a result, semi-stationary sprinkler systems can be produced in which extinguishant need act upon the nozzle feed pipes only in the event of a fire.
