Abstract

This invention relates to a process of reflexotherapy which consists in using continuous electromagnetic radiation of the infrared range modulated by rectangular pulses to stimulate the biologically active points (BAP) of channels. The wavelength of said radiation ranges from 780 to 1400 nm (infrared radiation), and its frequency ranges from 15 to 30 Hz with a relative pulse duration of 1.3 to 4.0, the power density of the infrared radiation being from 10 to 30 % lower than the threshold value during the time lapse preceding the appearance of painful sensation. It is possible to produce an effect using a frequency-modulated infrared radiation in the form of pulses which double of the pulse waveform in amplitude, and which are synchronised in time with this form. The process evaluates the energy status level of each channel according to the number of pulses sent synchronously, in relation to the clock, with the pulse wave until the appearance of painful sensation. These pulses will take effect by means of a rectangular-shape infrared radiation with a relative pulse duration of 1.3 to 4.0, and a power density of 50 to 350 mW/cm2. It is also possible to use pulses which double the form of the pulse in amplitude, and which are synchronised in time with this form. In the presence of pathological compound conditions when some channel systems are disturbed, treatment by infrared radiation is carried out on the BAPs of 12 channels which form part of the system regulating five primary elements, in the direction of the energy flow between these elements, and starting from the channel which exhibits the best features in terms of energy status. This process can be used to treat various pathological conditions, including those of a compound nature.
