Definitions

• the present invention relates to an arrangement which can be attached to a shroud or other elongated traction element, which can be fitted on the said traction element to prevent, amongst other things, sails and the like from being torn by contact with a part on a boat such as a shroud spreader, etc., for example.
• the main object of the present invention is primarily to provide an arrangement of the above-mentioned kind which can be attached to the traction element when the latter has been set up in position and there is no free end on which to thread an arrangement which it is desired to attach to it.
