Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con separadores que se usan en las carrocerías de los vehículos a motor. Se refiere a un método para fabricar un ensamblaje de separador que comprende: - moldear una serie de proyecciones a lo largo de un borde de una porción de una lámina de metal; - laminar dicha porción de la lámina de metal para darle configuración tubular; - colocar dicha porción laminada de la lámina de metal y una pieza metálica de base a la cual se habrá de soldar dicha porción laminada de la lámina de metal en un aparato de soldadura por descarga que tenga un par de electrodos de manera tal que las proyecciones de dicha porción laminada de la lámina de metal se ponga en contacto con una superficie de dicha pieza metálica de base; - aplicar una fuerza de manera tal que las proyecciones se dispongan en enganche forzado con la pieza metálica de base; y - aplicar una corriente eléctrica entre el par de electrodos y a través de dicha porción laminada de la lámina de metal y dicha pieza metálica de base, de manera tal que las proyecciones alcancen una etapa de metal fundido y subsecuentemente se solidifiquen para permitir que la porción laminada de la lámina se metal se suelde a dicha pieza metálica de base.
