Description
DESIGN E. RAYNAUD. BOTTLE. No. 9,916, Patented Apr'1117,1877.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
EUGENE RAYNAUD, OF PARIS, FRANCE, ASSIGNOR TO D. ST. AMANT & SON, OF NEW YORK CITY.
DESIGN FOR A BOTTLE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 9,916, dated April 17,1877; application filed April 2, 1877. [Term of Patent 14 years.]
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EUGENE RAYNAUD, of Paris, France, have invented a new and original Design for a Bottle, of which the following is a specification:
The nature of this design is fully. shown in the accompanying drawing, to which reference is made.
The design has reference to a bottle for olive-oil and other articles, by which a handsomer form than that of the present tall and unsightly oil-bottles in common use is furnished; and the design consists of a bottle having a body of tapering shape, with one or more annular rims near the bottom and top edge of the body, and having a raised ogee molding connecting the inclined upper part of the body with the cylindrical neck.
In the drawing, A represents the body of my improved bottle, which is made of tapering shape, being wider at the base and somewhat narrower at the upper part of the body. One or more raised annular rims, a, encircle l the bodynear the upper and lower edge of the body A, the body A being connected by an upwardly-inclined top part, b, and a raised ogee molding, d, with the plain cylindrical neck B, the inclined part b and raised ogee molding forming the connecting parts between the larger body and the smaller cylindrical neck, and imparting a neat and elegant appearance to the bottle, so as to be more pleasing to the eye than the common styles of olive-oil bottles in general use.
I claim as my invention- The design for a bottle composed of a tapering body, A, with annular rims near top and bottom edge, an upwardly-inclined part, b, at the top edge of the body, ogee molding d, and cylindrical neck B, substantially as shown and described.
