DESIGN FOR HANDLES OF TABLE-CUTLERY.
Specification forming part of Design No. 8,910, dated January 18, 1876; application filed January 11,1876.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, EDWIN L. BRITTIN, of Derby, county of New. Haven and State of Connecticut, and EDWARD SGHOTT, 0f the city of Brooklyn, county of Kings and State of New York, have originated and designed a Pattern forHandles for Table-Cutlery, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference heing had to the accompanying drawing, in which- Figure 1 represents a face view of a fork Fig. 2 is a rear view thereof.
Similar letters indicate corresponding parts.
Our invention consists in ornamenting one side of the handle of articles of table-cutlery with a bunch of game and a water-lily, the other side of the handle being ornamented with an ear of corn, whereby we obtain an article presenting a handsome and distinguished appearance.
In the drawing, the letterA designates a fork-handle, to which we have in this example shown our design applied, the handle being conjoined with prongs B. The front side of the 'handle is ornamented with a bunch of game, 0, consistingof arabbit, prairie-chicken,
and Woodcock, as shown, this bunch being sus pended from a medallion, a, situated at the upper extremity of the handle. Such front side of the handle is further ornamented with a water-lily, D, and with one or more transverse heads, E, and an escutcheon, F. The rear side of the handle is ornam nted with the medallion a,'an ear of corn, G, and the transverse beads E, and an escutcheon, H, as shown.
\Vhat we claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
1. The design for the handles of table-cutlery, consisting of a bunch of game, 0, as shown and described.
2. The design for the handles of table-c lery, consisting of a water-lily, D, in combii. tion with a bunch of game, O, as shown aL described.
