DESlGN FOR STOCKING FABRIC.

Specification forming part of Design No. 6,689, dated May 27, 1573; application filed May 6, 1873.

To all whom 1' t may concern:

lie it known that I, MARTIN LANDENBERG- ER, J12, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented a Design for Stocking Fabric, of which the following is a specification:

The nature of my design is clearly represented by the figure in the accompanying drawing, the principal features being the stripes A and B, the former of which consists of three light stripes, (the central being the widest,) two narrow dark bars adjacent to the narrow light stripes, two outer wide bars, and shaded stripes bordering all the dark bars, as shown; the stripes and bars being of dilferent shades and colors, while the stripe B has at each side a mottled bar, a, and a center composed of narrow parallel ribs, arranged as shown.

The spaces b and 0 between the stripes may be of the same shade or color; but I prefer to make them of different colors.

Irrespective of the colors em ployed, I claim- 1. The design for the stripe A, consisting of the light dark, and shaded minor stripes, arranged and proportioned as shown.

2. The design for the stripe B, substantially as described and represented.

3. The design for the whole pattern, includ ing the stripes A and B.
