Be it known that I, FREDERICK WIXK, of l the city and county ot. Philadelphia, State, of Pennsylvania, have invented a Design for a Shawl-Pattern, of which the iollowing is a specification:

The main features of my design, which is fully represented in the drawing, are the three stripes, A, B, and C. The renter u of the stripe A is composed of a series of narrow parallel ribs, crossed or broken at intervals by short diagonal bars, as shown, and the remainder ot' the stripe is composed of the plain par allel ribs 01' the varying widths shown, and of any suitable shades and colors. The stripe I) is nearly plain at each side of the central rib h, which is composed of bars and spots so arranged as to present the checkered appearance illustrated. The stripe O has a plain central rib, (1, broken or relieved by a series of short i transverse or diagonal bars, 4', 0t difl'erent widths, which end abruptly, and together present the appearance of a variegated bar parallel with the main stripe. At the sides of the central rib d are parallel rihs ol' difl'erent widths, as shown.
