Specification forming part of Design No. 6,601, dated April 22, 1873; application filed April 11, 1873.

To all whom it may cmwern:

Beitknownthatl, HENRYHORAN,Of the city of Newark, Essex county, New Jersey, have in vented or produced a new and original Design for a Pattern to be Inwrought into In grain and other Carpeting in colors similar to those painted on the drawing or photograph accompanying this specification, or in other colors substituted in the place of those painted on the drawing or photograph herewith; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification does give and convey to any one skilled in the art of carpet-weavin g a defined and thorough description of the nature of my invention, and is sufficient to enable any one skilled in the art of carpet-weaving to use my invention.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- The configuration of the design hereunto annexed, when applied to carpeting in the form similar to the" drawing or photograph accompanying this specification.
